What type of gameplan do you devise for this week?

I say simply line up and play a very very conservative attack primarily 60% or more on the ground. Take a few shots down the feild, but mostly stuff underneath and running it up the gut, then trying to work the big plays off of the play action.

On D we will be a little creative and give loserman some diffeent looks to try to force some picks.

At first I thought we would blitz him a lot, but after watching the N.O. game, I think we will probably stick to a 3 or 4 man pass rush leaving our LB's to focus primarily on mcgahee. I beleive most of our "Blitzing" will be focused on shutting down the running game as apposed to going after loseman. Loseman will make enough mistakes without much pressure being put on him anyway. Not only that our D-line has looked premier thus far into the season, stuffing the run, creating pressure even without a blitz at times. Buffalo's o-line is weak at best, plus may have to starters sitting out with injuries.

Anyone have any better ideas?

I don´t know if our running game can controll bills defense all the way, I think we have a very strong offense throwing the football, no deep balls but short.

I think Ronnie should have about 25 touches 18 or so should be rushing.
Morris needs to have a good game and about 12 - 15 carries
Minor could even get involved, and I would like to see a Minor and Brown backfield a few times this game.

Minor has a problem with power and being able to break through the line, but if he gets the ball in open space can make some good things happen.

If they are in the backfield together, who will the bills target??? obviously ronnie, so you can set up a double screen, run to ronnie, fake to ronnie run with minor so on, many possabilities, plus it hasn't been seen yet, so the D won't be prepared for it. Best way to beat a D is to give them stuff they don't or aren't prepaired to react to.

Defensively we have to stop McGahee early and force Losman to beat us. If we can score on them early it would really put all the pressure on him and allow us to really go after him with a lot of different looks. I think Nick and the boys can really confuse him and make him make poor decisions. Offensively we want to do what everyone wants to- establish a running game to open up the passing game and take a few shots downfield. We should be able to.

I dont want ap ure running game... i would like to see balance... I think we still have to take a few shots downfield...Big shots... As far as defense goes.... Both Qbs are struggling... Mix it up.. different looks.. Play "our" game against the weaknesses of Buffalo.

I say Miami should take some shots down the field at times. Yeah, running the ball is wise, but the bills secondary hasn't played as well lately, Dante Stallwoth had 8 catches for 129 yards against them, at one point he made play after play, Joe Horn wasn't even playing, Stallworth is good, but he's a no.2 receiver for a reason, I think Miami should throw to Chambers or Booker.

don't you think it is important to not only beat our current apponant (buffalo), but also set up our next apponant by making them think we are going to do something we are not?

When I see Saban's play calling it seems to me he has a good grasp of how to do that.

That's why I'm saying he should really go as conservative as possible in this game due to the fact that we really should overmatch them at pretty much every level.

The only battle we lose is our DB's vs. their WR's. Pretty much every other matchup from a personell standpoint we win.

Keep it conservative, save the trick plays and sure plays for an apponant more worthwhile. Just line up hit'em in the mouth and then start prepairing for tampa.

If I'm Nick Saban:

1) I stay aggressive. Play conservatively in the sense of no need for trickery, but aggressive in the sense that we try to score at all points. Look what happened to the Panthers against an inferior team.

2) I mix up blitzes and I bring it from everywhere. Losman is inexperienced, hesitant, and runs too easily. He doesn't read defenses yet. If we put a hat on him early on, he'll lose some confidence and start chucking poorly-thrown balls. Saban is a defensive guru, and Losman is basically a rookie QB. Saban dreams of situations like this.

3) Offensively, I stay away from Clements and try to get Ronnie Brown to be a huge factor. He needs to carry the rock 20+ times. He's rested, he's fresh, and this could be when he really gets his feet wet. The Bills are giving up 5YPC, and this could be a huge confidence booster for a guy who needs to run a little less tentatively (and with a little more confidence).

4) I go on South Beach, stop at Nordstrom for some better pants, avoid man-touching on the sidelines, and keep the little debbie thing on the down-low.

Agreed on all points, but who is the inferior team to Carolina? I do hope your not referring to the fish, we are more talented then them and as it would appear slightly better coached.
by the way point #4)

The Packers, last night.

Please, no more playing scared Wannyball, let the boys play, attack the field, balanced attack, score points and force Losman to try to keep pace.

Saban has done a brilliant job eradicating the negativity of overly conservative Wannstedt era in a short period of time.....lets not take a step backwards.

You actually think our run blocking is that dominant?

Continue to do what's been successful for us. Try to take the crowd out of the game early with a big play.
Attack their weaknesses, which at this point seems to be the right side of the OL and the QB. Account for McGahee and hold him to under 100.
Force at least 2 turnovers without giving one up. Establish the run early, score early. The Bills are a mess right now but that makes them even more dangerous. We should approach them with caution but try to dominate them mercilessly.
