After enjoying watching the Jets get trashed last night on MNF, I couldn't help but think how long it's been for both these franchises since their last SB win. I thought about each team's roster of current players and coaches, and wondered if Jet fans would rather our roster, or if we would rather theirs.
My take is, they are older on average, and while their D line is better, I would rather have our coaches (except for Rizzi) and the handful of good players we do have. Maybe I am biased :rolleyes2:, but I think we have more talent. Shocking right? Jones, Landry, Parker, Tunsil, Pouncey, Ajayi, Suh ect. I wonder what JUNC would say?

i still like Todd Bowles, we were crazy not making him HC over Philbin. the Jets are in deep **** until they address the QB correctly. Fitzpatrick is back to being Fitzpatrick. Geno is the worst QB on an NFL roster in the NFL and they clearly think very little of their two young guys Petty and Hackenberg to give him the over either of them.

This question reminds me of a line in the movie Money Ball. "Would you rather get shot in the head or take 5 shots in the gut?" to which the reply was "Are those my only options?"

I take none of the above.

I like Bowles but rhink he does a lot of questionable things tegarding coaching and addressing the media
I think he is in trouble. Ill take fins woth their DL.

I thought we were gonna regret losing Bowles.

He's a good coach IMO he's just getting bit by the "I just got paid Fitzpatrick"

Bowles reminds me of Ryan, too defensive minded to put together an average offense. At least Rex attacked with a running game. Sorry but Forte and Powell do not scare many people.

Definitely would rather have our coaches, and I like our roster more to be honest because at least we have young guys that could develop into better players.

I would trade for the Jets GM Mike Maccagnan, who has been an impressive personnel man dating back to his days with Houston. He would do wonders with Ross' money.

While Fitzpatrick sucks much more than most would admit before this horrendous run, the Jets have invested a lot in that D, but they have no edge rushers and a terrible secondary. Few expected Revis to fall off a cliff, but even if he was playing pretty well/not great (like last season), this Jets D would be in trouble. Outside of the DL and D. Lee, the future is bleak. I like Bowles, but I don't like the Jets FO.

It's too early to judge Miami. Last week was positive. Was it a fluke win? Was it a sign of the game clicking for a team with a new staff? I expected Miami to be inconsistent through the first 8 weeks, and I won't overreact to last week, but it was important to show some sign of life. The hope is that the team can click enough weeks 9-17 to have a strong foundation for next season. At the very least, you want to isolate the problems and identify the strengths - rather than playing whack-a-mole (like most of the last 30 years).

Both front offices are notorious for sucking. I think the Jets had an excellent run last year and I doubted they would duplicate it this year because I didn't think Fitz would do as well. I like Bowles and wish we had given him the job over Herman Munster.

Remember the sentiment around here after the Jets destroyed the Bills on Thurs night? A lot said we had no chance against their d-line and receiving corps. Now, just 4 weeks later they are viewed as garbage all around. You can never overreact too much to one game. The Bills-49ers game played out almost exactly like the Dolphins-Steeler game. Did we make the Steelers look as bad as the 49ers or were the Steelers just bad all by themselves on that Sunday?

Also of interest: Football Outsiders has Fitzpatrick and Tannehill as one-two --as the worst 2 QBs in the league (statistically)...

He hasn't really impressed me yet as the man in charge. He's had two drafts and outside of a no-brainer top 6 selection in Leo Williams, he has been pretty bad. Bryce Petty in the 4th round and Hackenburg in the 2nd round?

5 5 21 158 Brandon Shell T South Carolina
