Some of them have a legitimate chance at making the team. Fifita, the NT from Utah, was actually considered the best "NT" in the draft and one of the most underrated players. He is not one of the highest rated DTs, but he was built to be a nose tackle unlike anyone else in the draft.

I am from SEC country and while Riggs didn't live up to his full potential at Tenn, I seem to remember another rb that played for Denver that didn't reach their potential at Georgia either. When he was healthy he ran with authority.

Bray and McGrew are tough guys. Who is to say what they will do. Bray is different from the safety Miami signed last year from Oregon State in that he is noted for his instincts. I expect Bray to make the team.

McNeil was the only decent OL at Mississippi State. And he was one of the reasons Norwood ran like he did.

Kimble' s ability to seperate on routes will dictate his opportunities. But he and Hagan are two of the top 3 receptions leaders in college football.

Wheeler will determine his own fate based on weight lose and desire to make it due to the heavy competition at OL.

Holland was special enough to require a position coach to come to him to visit (the only coach at his pro day as I have read).

Even the punter is skilled in that he can punt and place kick. Don't know much about him.

My concerns as previously stated are that Miami not only didn't draft a OLB or pass rushing backer/end, but they have not signed one in the undrafted pool either. If so, this guy is not a known option and is likely from a small college. I have exhausted internet efforts trying to find this so called sleeper, but I guess I will find out tommorrow. I get ticked at the Dolphins every year for being last in announcing their signees, and even Jason Cole said it was silly for this to do this. Yes, I know media announcements are not official and there have been a couple of examples of guys going other places when announced for a particular place. But come on.

I really like the Riggs pick up although Andre Hall would have been a perfect pickup. I think Riggs will make this team and will be our 2nd back before the year is over.

I also believe Riggs jr will be our 2nd back.I like his running style reminds of Priest Holmes.

:D Okay.... here's my breakdown.

P Thomas Olmsted, Troy - I'm sorry to say, but I don't think he has a shot to make the roster. But if he does well at camp, sign him to the practice squad. You know, our back up punter just in case.

WR Eric Kimble, Eastern Washington - This guy is now in the most pressing of predicaments. In a wide receiver battle where even Wes Welker and Fred Campbell are between a rock and a hard place, Eric Kimble better show what he's got. He's most likely be on the practice squad.

OT Stefon Wheeler, Michigan State - It's up to Houck on this one. I highly doubt that last year's acquisition of practice squad guards C.J. Brooks and Joe Berger was just coincidence.

LB Trent Bray, Oregon State - Tough guy he is. I don't think he has a shot though. Mostly because we have three inside linebackers. One is a perrenial pro bowler, the second is most likely the former's sucessor, and the third is destroying people in NFLEL. But hey, weirder things happen.

DT Steve Fifita, Utah - He's a little shorter than what I'd expect at nose tackle. But that doesn't matter. Considering that there is a need for NT, he's in for a fight. But the fight is on level ground.

QB Justin Holland, Colorado State - ....... I'm sorry, but with one QB a pro-bowler, one being our future stellar back-up a la Earl Morral/Don Strock, he's fighting Brock Berlin for the NFLEL QB "spot".

OC Chris McNeil, Mississippi State - In my opinion, he has the biggest chance of making the 53 man roster. Hell, he could even be a starter.

LB Sam McGrew, Florida State - See Trent Bay.

RB Gerald Riggs Jr., Tennessee - The deck is stacked against them. Ronnie Brown is going nowhere. Sammy Morris was able to rush for over 500 yards in 2004 despite an O-line that might as well have been made of air, and is a special teams ace. Travis Minor is a change of pace back (Saban's words), and is also an integral part of the ST unit. His battle is with Kay-Jay Harris. And Harris.... well, he said he had chips on not only his shoulders, but his whole body.

He's on a thread..

Okay I'm done!

Dude...we had the ALL-TIME DOLPHINS RECORD for sacks in a season last year! Where's the problem?

But a pass rushing OLB/DE-LB tweener could healp us beat that record, again.

Tough to find one in FA (that you can afford) and even harder to find one in round 3 or later. I myself wanted Manny Lawson at #16 overall, but when Saban drafted the VERY talented Jason Allen in that slot I understood why. We did not have a solid starting safety on our roster. That was a need pick that we fortunately also got value for. Who are you going to draft in round 3 to be that amazing pass rushing specialist? I think Nick Saban was amazing with our draft picks this year and deserves an "A" grade until proven otherwise. And yes, I would have drafted Daunte Culpepper with our 2nd round pick this year if he was available there.

I like the chances of Gerald Riggs Jr. making this team and advancing up the depth chart throughout the season. He has the ability to eventually become Ronnie Brown's backup. He's a big, powerful back who although is not fast, he's got a pretty decent burst and is athletic as well. He's one of those players that you just hope has a breakout training camp and preseason. His father was a great player, and I'll be rooting for him.

One of the scouting reports I read about the punter that we acquired is that he has a lot of punts blocked. He has a powerful leg, but I don't think he's an upgrade over D. Jones.
