Many people are saying that you can ignore preseason games because after all, it's just a glorified practise. However if you believe that statement than the results of Miami's first preseason game would indicate that Miami had a very crappy practise. It would not surprise me if actual games reflect this crappiness.
The problem with Sparano other than is conservativeness, and fist pumping, is that he cant get the best out of his players, AND is always outmatched as a coach.
Last years final game vs NE proved it! When his players quit on him by halftime, and NE who had nothing to play for, demolished us with ease, you could see it clearly that Miami flat out quit playing hard by halftime.
If you cant get your guys to give 100 percent on every play, you should not be a head coach. Sparano should of been fired on the plane ride home from that game!
Also not sold on Ireland, this years draft could of been better. Ingram will be a star in this league, we pass for ANOTHER lineman. O-line is important, however QB's win superbowls. Too many passes on good quality QB's in recent years. Plus getting nobody in FA, just does not make any sense.
Can you tell us all then what exactly Miami would of been playing for then in that final game? I don't know about you but after the loss to Cleveland I was hoping they'd lose out for a better draft position. I hate to say that but when the season is lost you hope to position yourself for the best opportunity to plug one of those important holes with the best available player in the draft and I don't care what they look like in the process of achieving that goal. Your assessment of Ingram may be right but who really knows? He could be one hit on those legs away from being a total bust too still it's too early to say this one or that one should of been our pick and as you know...hindsight is 20-20.The problem with Sparano other than is conservativeness, and fist pumping, is that he cant get the best out of his players, AND is always outmatched as a coach.

Well good point but I'm also not the one saying they quit and as I recalled they played hard thoughtout but if there's any grain of truth to the quiting part it was the last game of the season and second half in question. All I was saying is once the season was lost I wouldn't hold them accountable for blowing it up for the remainder because it would actually be better for the team but that's not how they play nor is it practicle. As an after thought I did want them to at least beat the Jets after the Cleveland game, but beyond that point I doubt you could pull together 60K MD Fan's to tell that they quit considering 2 games at home against Bills and Detroit and last game was at NE and that game I would Love to tell them all they've been punked out of their money! How many Dolphin fans do you suppose went to that NE game? Just sayin..Tell that to the 60k paying for ticketholders. That's exactly what they want, to pay hundreds to go to a game and watch the players quit. There's value for your buck for ya

30 days until a regular season game. We've had half the practice we were supposed to have. Relax
