If you play like you practise, than Miami is in trouble.

If im not mistaken Miami won most if not all of the preseason games last year, then if thats the case what ur saying is that we should have been superbowl bound......right? Based on "preseason". ............NOT!

Can you tell us all then what exactly Miami would of been playing for then in that final game? I don't know about you but after the loss to Cleveland I was hoping they'd lose out for a better draft position. I hate to say that but when the season is lost you hope to position yourself for the best opportunity to plug one of those important holes with the best available player in the draft and I don't care what they look like in the process of achieving that goal. Your assessment of Ingram may be right but who really knows? He could be one hit on those legs away from being a total bust too still it's too early to say this one or that one should of been our pick and as you know...hindsight is 20-20.
 
All that talk of practice/no gameplanning/Atlantas starters vs our 2nd teams/etc is all perfectly logical...as it was last year when the starters came out and looked just as lethargic as they did on Friday.
 
Bottom line... you don't win in the NFL without a high quality QB.... the FO knows this... the HC knows this... the OC knows this... the opposing DC knows this.... c'mon...

How many times do we need to see DC's take away the run and dare the Dolphin QB to beat them... last season... pre-season... hell in practice.... the only Dolphin QB that was able to beat that plan recently was CP.... and he's done...

Get over yourselves... the season will go the way of the QB.... even with our stout D... and as it stands right now.... that ain't good!

I'm not British but I was stationed in Europe for a good portion of my Army time, maybe some of the spelling idioms rubbed off.

Tell that to the 60k paying for ticketholders. That's exactly what they want, to pay hundreds to go to a game and watch the players quit. There's value for your buck for ya

Well good point but I'm also not the one saying they quit and as I recalled they played hard thoughtout but if there's any grain of truth to the quiting part it was the last game of the season and second half in question. All I was saying is once the season was lost I wouldn't hold them accountable for blowing it up for the remainder because it would actually be better for the team but that's not how they play nor is it practicle. As an after thought I did want them to at least beat the Jets after the Cleveland game, but beyond that point I doubt you could pull together 60K MD Fan's to tell that they quit considering 2 games at home against Bills and Detroit and last game was at NE and that game I would Love to tell them all they've been punked out of their money! How many Dolphin fans do you suppose went to that NE game? Just sayin..

I think his assessment of Ingram is right on. And what do you mean "who really knows"? Plenty of people know he's a damn good prospect. The Saints figured he was worth trading up for. He was a Heisman winner for a reason. He also had one of the fastest 10 second splits of all RBs at the combine so the explosiveness is there.

If we were going to invest an early pick in a RB, we should've taken Ingram.

And if you think passing on Ryan Mallett in the late 2nd round was a good idea, then I don't know what to tell you. It's amazing that this regime just let's one QB prospect after another slip through their grasp.

Ireland is clueless - he's never even heard of the term "franchise quarterback".

P.S. Tony is a nice enough guy but he does totally get out-coached and the team did quit on him in that game the poster referenced.

Excuses, excuses - are you suggesting the Falcons had a full mini camp and training camp?

And how many more practices does Henne need to stop throwing more picks than TDs? And how many more drafts does Ireland need before he figures out that maybe - JUST MAYBE - he might want to draft us a QB.
