Where would you start first in order to revamp this roster into a winning football team?

The first few things I would do:

This season…
1) Get our young guys ON THE FIELD and find out who the real players are.

Post season…
2) Unload as many old veterans as possible in order to generate some value off the existing roster and get YOUNG ASAP!

3) Waive the retreads and has-beens that are simply filling roster spots and move on with YOUNG talent and develop whoever has potential for the future (a numbers game per se).

4) Draft a Steam-Rolling OL for Ronnie Brown (Cary and Hadnot are keepers, most of the others need to go, Toledo is an unknown)

5) Retool the roster aggressively for SPEED on Defense and POWER on offense…

Brady Quinn is my first choice. this guy has it all and if we are close to the first pick we need to trade up. i am very unsure of Culpepper. we should make trades for draft picks. we need alot of OL in next years draft. unfortunately the only tradable players are our best players, Zach And Jason. i can't beleive how all the others are underacheiving. Jason Allen does not look like an impact player and that is what you should get in the first round.

1. The first step is to hire a GM who is really in charge of player personnel. It's best if the GM and HC work closely together, but the days when a HC can "do it all" are over, and have been for at least 10-15 years or more.

2. Review why so many Miami draft picks, especially the high ones, haven't worked out. Is there a problem with the scouting corps? Are the scouts' recommendations being overruled/ignored by the the HC who picks whom he wants?

3. Admit that the team is in rebuilding mode, and have a plan to get from where the team is now to where it needs to be. You can't change all the old players in 1 or 2 seasons, but you can clear out the aging high priced vets that aren't pulling their weight.

What to do this year ...

4. Play the young guys! With the season shot, what's the use of playing with the vets the team is losing with? You need to find out if your rookies and other youngsters "got game" so you can set draft priorities!

The Bills are sticking with Losman at QB because they need to find out if he's what they hope he is. With the bye week coming up, they've revamped their OL, moving RT Peters to LT and LT Gandy to LG, and giving R Pennington the start at RT. Hopefully, CB Ashton Youboty will get some playing time in the second part of the season. This is all chancy and may very well cost the Bills a game or two or more, but the coaches need to know if these guys can play in the NFL so they can plan their FA/draft strategy.

Miami needs to do the same kind of thing: get Jason Allen playing, give Cleo Lemon some playing time, try the other youngsters.

Then blaming Johnson and Wannstadt for the Fins' problems is like the Republicans blaming Bill Clinton for all their troubles, right?

Find a taker for CC and GET Calvin Johnson....The guy is SICK!!
WHAT?!?!?! The whole point of getting another wide reciever is so that Chambers can get some space from the defense. You want to trade a pro bowl wr so that we can get another wr? What would be the point in that? And, to top that off, you want to get rid of a proven wr, for someone who could be a bust? I'm sure he'll be a good wide reciever, but stranger things have happened. I think I'd like to keep Chambers, AND get Johnson, but that's just me.

This is a great analagy. Saban is the coach of a one win team that is underperforming less talented teams and we all want to blame Wanny still. Wanny and Speilman sucked yes, but has this team showed any improvement this year. We have been beat by some of the worst teams in the league. Am I ready to toss Saban, of course not but if we are sitting in the same position next year, then obviously he is not getiing it done. New Orleans had the second worst record last year and they actually look like a team and they are not overall any more talented than us.

We have the skill players, just get guys to create time and room for them. O-line, O-line, O-line!!!

100% ACCURATE in reference to our offense. O-line, O-line, O-line. We have to overhaul this unit. There are only two starters I would definitely keep, Vernon Carey and Rex Hadnot (who they have to move back to LG where he played his best for us). All the others are on the bubble, especially Jeno James and his big contract.

To start things off on the right foot, before the draft, we should hire a new OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR.

Then we should draft versatile LT Joe Thomas (if healthy). He will be our best lineman since Richmond Webb. Then draft Justin Blalock or Aaron Sears in the second round to play LG. Now if Saban and Co. have confidence in Berger for next season, then we go in another direction and draft LB H.B. Blades in the second round to team up with Channing Crowder for the future.

With guys like Gaines Adams and possibly Adrian Peterson in the draft; it would take more restraint, than I think I have in me  ; to not draft one of these guys. I think they will be the big playmakers that come out of this draft class and we would be in the perfect position to grab one of these guys, but our true priority focus should be the o-line.

Surely its offensive line all the way next offseason !?!

No point in getting more skill position players until the hogs are in place. Joe Thomas seems the obvious choice at the moment.

With 19 players not signed on beyond the end of this season, there will be plenty of new faces in Phins jersey's next year.

1. OL - The key to ending our offensive woes.....

2. Defense - There are a few areas on defense that need significant work. Even though we have two very solid LB's in Thomas / Crowder, they need more help playing the 3-4 scheme. We've yet to find an OLB who can serious rush the QB, and Thomas can't blitz worth ****.....

3. Get RB Ricky Williams back - Some may say Ronnie can carry the load, but I think Brown is overrated to a certain extent. He has no vision, and no breakaway speed to speak of. Ricky is an unearthly talent, and would make our offense much more dangerous than Brown alone...

There's more, but those are my main concerns.....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I also wouldn't advocate keeping Mularkey around any longer.
