who would u take as our first pick this year? i like seeing who everyone would like to get.....not the gm saban...thanx for realizing what i said Spegg

ok...obviously if huff is there, u take him
but he probably wont be there so then it depends on LaVar.
If we are able to sign Arrington, then I would draft a corner: either Jimmy Williams or Tye Hill.
If we can't sign Arrington, we go LB and take Greenway if he's there or Manny Lawson and convert him to OLB.

Now if I was Saban I would take either of the WR's. I prefer Holmes first, but I like Jackson too.

I think we need to go Offense this year. Last year we drafted 1 offense and 5 defense. I'm just counting guys that I think will contribute. Brown, Roth, Crowder, Daniels, Wright, Vickerson. I like the youth movement, but this year I think we need to add some O.

we have a very young offense and a fairly old defense. I think you will see us go more towards the defensive side of the ball this year as well. That is unless some major steal presents itself.

Santonio Holmes=Most overrated player in this year's draft. I do agree with the WR pick, but give me Chad Jackson.

I think that this may be the perfect draft in which to trade down. Barring a tremendous steal falling directly in our lap, I think we have to draft either a linebacker or a cornerback. Our pass defense was awful last year even with Madison on board, and Will Allen doesn't solve that problem.

I expect that when the Dolphins pick at #16 two excellent linebackers, Chad Greenway and Ernie Sims, and multiple talented defensive backs, including most if not all of Tye Hill, Antonio Cromartie, Jonathan Joseph, Ashton Youboty, and Jason Allen will be available. Even with talents like Michael Huff and Jimmy Williams off of the board, there is a wealth of options for somebody drafting a cornerback.

Now, this is not to say that I think that any of these guys is as good as the next. I have my preferences (Hill and Cromartie) and I'm sure that the Dolphins' staff does as well. But with such a wealth of players available who fit Miami's needs, trading down makes a lot of sense.

sry lemme change that i was thinking between free agencey and draft
Sign: Ty Law, Peter Boulware
Trade: one or two of our 7s for Joey Harrington.
Draft: trade down to #30 for Colt's 1,2,3 and take Marcus McNeill.

With the new additions in the secondary our defense has a good balance of youth and experience. All Saban needs to do is pick up a young NT and he'll do that via the draft.

Draft MannyLawson@16
Fellas, do a little research. ESPN's "Scouts Inc Top 32" doesn't even have Lawson ranked, which means he has moved into the second round. Anyone who takes him in the second will get a steal. But please shut up about Lawson already. Even if he were ranked 16 the dolphins don't need a DE and they certainly don;t need to draft a DE to try to convert to LB in a system where even the brilliant Zach Thomas, by his own admittance, had a very rough time learning.
