If you were the owner, how would you reset this franchise?

1. Fire Chris Grier
2. Fire Mike McDaniel
3. Fire Crossman
4. Trade Tyreek, cut Chubb and Mostert
5. Find a physical WR and RB
6. Draft OL/DL high
7. Do not offer Holland a contract. Would not bring back ANY impending FAs aside from cheaper vets like Hand, Campbell, etc.

I’d target a Bargonzi (GM) and Ben Johnson (HC) pairing to start. I want my offense to function like Detroit’s. Find our David Montgomery to go with Achane and build a wall of an OL.

The defense needs a serious overhaul. DT, LB, S, and probably CB too. Ramsey is the only DB on the current roster that I want on the 2025 roster. Kohou can go, he’s trash. Cam Smith can get dumped for a day 3 pick. Jordan Poyer is like 4-5 weeks overdue for a cut. I don’t mind keeping and developing Storm Duck as a CB4/5. If releasing Chubb, we’d probably need to add another edge rusher but not near that price tag.

Pray that Patrick Paul is a player.

I would clean house at the end of the season and hire a search firm to help me find the next GM who can pick their own head coach. The next 2 years should be spent trading away and cutting the players who do not fit into a system that is built around the offense/defense lines and physical football. (Build Inside-Out).

Stockpile draft picks and fill this team with hardnosed, smart football players who are anything but finesse. No more "smurf" receivers and tiny RB's. Draft a LB who can actually dominate a game and an edge rusher who doesn't get hurt every year. Keep drafting QB's until we find a large, mobile QB who can make dynamic plays and put the team on his back every once in a while. We need a culture change to move this organization away from the last 30 years of being a flashy, weak team into what the Steelers, Ravens, etc. are.

Maybe, none of this will happen while the Ross family owns the team but I do not see any hope with the current structure of this organization. And by the way, make our original uniforms permanent so we don't look like a bunch of pansies every Sunday.
that is what i was thinking ,add to this add depth on both lines and qb . everything you said i agree with .

Reality is Grier is here and will remain. Argue all you want, we all know that's true. What he and Grier can do is sit down with Mcd and have a heart-to-heart.
'Buddy, here is what we've seen and what we know. When you're winning and/or playing a poor team, you're play-calling is good. Playing a good team or behind, it sucks. You seem addicted to top names (e.g., OBJ). You run a Clubmed organization. That changes today. Crossman is gone within 15 min of the end of this meeting. No discussion. You WILL give up play-calling. Again, no discussion. Next year, by end of mid-May, you WILL have a quality backup QB, a big sure-handed receiver, 2 OGs. If not, you're unemployed. Mr. Grier will meet with your position coaches, without you, and get their suggestions on how to improve personnel.' Agree to those now or you're successor will.'
Will those happen. I bet quite a bit of money > no. But any changes start with Mcd

My expression says it all...This would be what this team see's every day at this point.

We are talkin another level here which is way over my head but then it's not that far apart from what we got. At least I know the importance of a great offensive line and how important tackling is. Possibly not kissing the teams azz with bullsh!t excuses week after week, month after month.

Its The Miami Dolphins not Club "Ah" Half Azz "AH"....and I don't care if GM & HC's grew up in a middle class family with a nice green yard.....

Owner is like Organization always 20 steps behind in figuring it out....Thats Reality...sorry
I know , I know

Fire them all or live with what we have

I would can Grier and hire myself as GM, then I would pistol whip McDaniel right out of his Jehri curl and ***gola clam digger pants. That would be my starting point, then every practice would end with touch and goes until someone pukes or passes out, every freakn practice. Then i would tell Ross to build or rent us out warehouse freezer to practice in. I can keep going, but I don't want to give away all my secrets to success.

New GM for sure. If that means new coach too so be it. They need a hard nosed mother****** to lead the team. Not some newbie who doesn’t know anything.

Meh...

All that sort of thing does is cause hard feelings and resentment, not to mention damaging reputation the club.

If that's the way Ross feels, better off just making a clean break, rather than saying you're still the HC, but have no real authority in decision making.

As far as Grier, if Ross moves forward without making a change of some kind, the rest is meaningless and pointless.

Don't disagree which is why I pointed out it's not happening. Nonetheless, Mcd's problems are largely correctable *IF* he's willing to make the effort

Hmmmm...... That's only if he perceives himself of being wrong philosophically in the first place.

I have to be honest, at first I dismissed his ponderous, searching/struggling for answers demeanor in PCs as him not being comfortable at the podium.

Now I think that is symptomatic of how he is wired. He over evaluates things. He tries to string together big words unnecessarily, taking too much time, to convey his thoughts. That's not an insult. In some lines of work that might be seen as beneficial or prudent.

Not so much as a play caller or HC.

Again, which is why I made the comment it won't happen. That said and without evidence, I think the sudden change in his play-calling had something to do with him hearing his tenure was not as secure as it was AUG '24. Most of us have seen HCs who didn't get VERY angry - didn't seem too emotional. But their assts did and that HC held people directly accountable. Mcd has none of those traits.

There’s no rebuild needed.

We just need a different architect at the helm.

Tua can still have plenty of 30+ TD seasons. We need to find him a big No.1 WR.

Waddle should still have quite a few more 1000 yard seasons.

De’Von Achane is just getting started and easily capable of putting up a 2000 (combined) season.

Jaylen Wright and Malik Washington run violently with the ball in their hands.

Jonnu Smith could still have a few more productive seasons.

The new GM will make the LOS a priority.
I agree but this team doesn't change it's toughness or OL problems until both top decision makers are gone. The guards are garbage but why does the HC run so many slow developing plays or ones that involve pulling a guard when neither can hit any kind of moving target?

I would not make massive changes.

I would bring in Joe Douglas to serve as an actual GM and head of personnel above Grier.

I would cut Bradley Chubb. I would let Jevon Holland walk. I would never let Skylar Thompson, Durham Smythe, Julian Hill, Jordan Poyer, or Kader Kohou play another snap for the Dolphins.

I would draft an OG and a NT in the first two rounds of the 2025 draft, and on top of that, I would spend every available FA dollar (and consider making a trade or two) to ensure we are very good and very deep at OG, NT, and ILB for the 2025 season.

I would not spend money at safety. Reset that position on the cheap with no-name guys who run 4.45 and like to hit. I would also not spend money replacing Smythe and Hill. Just sign veteran minimum guys who are willing blockers and don’t suck out loud.
