Hey Guys,

I am going to a charity dinner next week and Dan Marino is the special guest. I am attending the VIP reception before the dinner and Dan will be there!!!!! Only 60 tickets are being sold to the VIP event. I am very excited!!!! So I want every to respond and let me know what they would ask Dan if they got a chance to meet him. I am going to pick the best question and ask him!!!!! I will report back and let you know what happens. The event is Thursday Feb 22 at the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond. The VIP event is 1 hour long......PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!

Question for him?....hell just say thanks for the memories and have him sign your VIP ticket, maybe get a pic with him if possible. Sounds pretty cool...enjoy!

Ask him to spare some "change" Seriously though, you should ask him how many touchdowns he thinks he could have thrown in his career if he played in the modern day (i.e. with all the domes, new rules, etc.) I feel that Manning and Favre would not break his records if Dan had the luxury of the same rules that they have had in recent years.

Ild ask if that nutri sytem thing really works.

Exactly! No need to be a reporter and interview the guy. Just enjoy the momment with an NFL hall of famer and one of the best QB's to play the game, and definately get a pic with him if you can for yourself.

If I had to pick a question though, since thats what you are indeed asking... See if he is, or would at all again re-consider joining the Dolphins organization in an official role again, and sticking around, and if so, what role would he most like? Thats the only thing I'd really be curious of, and... its late.

But most important thing is have a good time! and get autographs and pictures so you'll remember forever!

i dont know, id be pretty nervous meeting him :(

whatever you do say make sure you Thank him for everything he did for Miami Dolphins and the fans

thank him for beating the bears on my birthday in 85, i hate chicago fans.

First I agree that I would thank him for all the great memories... and I'd guess that since he would just give you some politically correct answer for most questions about the current state of the dolphins, I think it would be interesting to know what he thinks about the dolphins and the draft, I'd be curious to know if he thinks we should go after a QB with our first pick, or if he would do something else with the pick, what other players he likes coming out, or if he would look to trade up or trade down for more picks....

I met Dan last spring at a convention in North Jersey called the Fantasy Football Spectacular.

I told him, that he has no idea how many times i was last to school the next day watching him on monday night football. (I was in a Catholic Grade School)

that sounds awesome, i was in a similar delima in the begining of the season when i also got the opportunity to meet dan...i was able to speak with him for about a good 5-10 minutes and we were just having a conversation about how the team was doing this year and just certain possibilities to better the dolphins. He assured me he was on the same page with me and that more than anything he was a fan also and that he wants whats best for the team. It was really an amazing experience and he was a great guy. Good luck and have fun !

Beg him to come back and be Quarterbacks coach. Or Vice President of Football Affairs. Or SOMETHING.

I would say this about any sports icon......he's probably so tired of being asked football questions that if you asked him just about anything else, you would probably get a better and more friendly response. (ex. family, golf, any of his favorite pasttimes, etc.)

The only reason I say that is there is a local DJ that interviews famous sports figures on occasion and when ever he changes the topic to something more personal it always seems like the guest "livens up" considerably. Almost as if they are completely sick of talking about their particular sport

(just my opinion)

Ild ask him if he could get you some nutri system cupons and maybe a pair of isotona gloves

Talk to him about his family and the strides made in research for autistic children... he might talk to you for a longer period of time before you talk football stuff
I hope it all goes well!
