If your are wondering just how great of a year Xavien Howard is having, this guy breaks it down masterfully.

Significantly better in every way than 2019 Stephon Gillmore. The difference is one plays for the Patriots and the other plays for the Dolphins.
 
It's bs. X definitely deserves DPOY but won't win cuz the dolphins don't play on primetime and most casual fans probably never heard of him

Fortunately, fans have no say.

The Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award (DPOY) is given by the Associated Press (AP) to the most outstanding defensive player in the National Football League (NFL) at the end of every season. It has been awarded since 1971. The winner is decided by votes from a panel of 50 AP sportswriters who regularly cover the NFL.
 
For a change of topics to something positive, I thought I’d bump one of the more recent X threads.

X had an absolutely monster season and is worthy of far more praise than he’s getting.

He came back from an injury-riddled 2019 to post TEN interceptions and tie the franchise all-time single season record. It’s also the first time 10 INT’s has been accomplished since 2007.

Along with his excellent pass defense numbers, the INT’s should have him deeply in consideration for DPOY. Let’s hope he gets it.
