If your second guessing Chris Long

Why bye bye to JT? I thought it was a good idea to keep our best players?... and he is our best player.
 
I don't care what happens to JT. I want Chris with the #1. BTW Jt was far from the player he was 2 years ago. His play last year was sickning to me.

i dunno, i thought he played well enough...especially in the baltimore game...thank god

He patted his stats in a couple of games. Most of the season he was dancing with o-lineman and putting out no effort what so ever. He don't have the heart to play for us anymore and his play in all but a couple of games reflected that.
 
Did people expect JT to be a one man wrecking crew? He had no help from the rest of the defensive line....was his job to abandon his responsibilities and just fly around the field making plays??? Not one team respected our defensive line, never mind linebackers...we got run over consistently and could never get off the field on 3rd down.
I'm excited for Chris Long in that I hope he out plays Matt Roth who I saw consistently dancing with offensive lineman, never double teamed...and this was before his groin injury.
People underestimate the effect Kevin Carter had for our defense last year...Zach Thomas praised him considerably for his play in 2006 during a radio interview after Zach was released.
How many other teams had big time players not making plays? Julius Peppers? Ray Lewis (most highlights are with him running his mouth)?...lots of guys fell off the radar a bit.

I could not agre more. JT was half A$$ last year and nobody wants to admitt it. The best player on that defense last year was Joey Porter. The only guy that had fire and heart. You can say what you want to but that is the truth if you go back and watch the games. JT gets shipped out and we apply pressure with long and Porter. JT don't fit.

Yeah, Joey and Will Allen was the only players that gave their all all season long on D. My hats off to both of them and I don't care what happens to any of the others because I hate quitters and lolligagers.

JT doesn't fit? He starts on any defense on any one of the other 31 NFL teams...but DOESN'T fit with the Dolphins? :rolleyes:
Anyone who plays half A$$ gets injured.
Porter had fire and heart?...do other guys on the defense need to run their mouths at other teams, even when losing, to show they have "fire and heart". Best players on defense were Zach Thomas when he wasn't injured and JT even with his foot injury.
Look at the rest of the defense besides JT during the Raiders game as Fargas does over a hundred yards on us in the 4th quarter alone.

Do yourself a favor and go back and watch the last 4-6 games of the season and watch the plays that Porter makes. I can care less about him talking. From the Pitt game on he wsa clearly hands down the best player on the defesne followed by will allen and james allen at the very end of the season.

And NO JT does not fit in a Parcells 3-4 defense. he is not Big enough to play DE and he is not aggressive enough to play OLB. OLB's in a 3-4 defense is not a finesse player like JT. Think about all the OLB's that play in the NFL right now. NO I repeat NO 0 NONE of them are finesse players. Vrabell / Thomas/ spears/ware/phillips/merriman/pace/I can go on and on. JT is a great player but as a 4-3 DE. Just think about it.............
 
Its a shame people still want Matt Ryan, the last thing this thing can afford is a bust, especially when we already have a QB in John Beck that is busting his tail off to this offseason.

where did you get that? seriously bro did you watch any dolphins game during the saban era when he was pretty much in the quarterback's face in the 3-4 Defense.
