If the Super Bowl was this Sunday instead of the first round of the playoffs, would the Dolphins have ruled Tua OUT on Wednesday?

Sometimes it feels like this team is content with being the controlled opposition. I’m a McDaniel fan (fading) but what is the competitive advantage of ruling out QB1 today? Is it impossible to clear the concussion protocol with four days left before the game?

That's a great question actually though why do they rule him out today? Is the NFL just trying to protect themselves from a massive lawsuit in the future cuz that's all I can figure. How do they know he's not going to be better in 4 days?

I don’t understand this either. There is nothing bad that would come from waiting on this announcement until Friday. Unless he just didn’t want himself, staff or players face the Tua questions all week.

Coaches can be weird with what they think are distractions. So maybe he announcing today just is ok stop that distraction my guys are focusing

Yeah if it was Thursday or Friday I’d say sure but wed feels weird unless it’s a ploy and he’ll be cleared which I don’t think it is. He doesn’t need many reps, Tua going years without reps is still better than Skylar lol

My question is if the nfl is worried why are we doing them favors after they took our 1st

The independent doctor did NOT clear Tua so there's nothing the team could do about it
But did he need to be cleared today?

Why couldn’t they wait until tomorrow or Friday?

Game is Sunday at 1. In theory he would have needed to clear protocol by Saturday. Team likes would travel Saturday. That is when the announcement could have been made.

Doing it early really does nothing except eliminate the questions.

I’d deal with the questions if the result is my opponent preparing for a left handed quarterback instead of a right handed one. Giving away any kind of competitive advantage is foolish

I agree with you. That is why while I hate him I respect how BB is as a coach keeping any little tidbit close hold for competitive advantage.

I get people say fins would get no advantage. I disagree. The Fins just took the top rated QB that has clearly played Bills close in two games off the table Wednesday.

I would love for someone to tell me this news today didn’t mean anything for Leslie Frazier

The dolphins are going to run the ball anyway who cares. Buffalo needs to stop our running attack the narrative has changed!

You really don't know how a team preps for gameday, do you?
I know that the Bills and us fans are in the dark as to what’s happening. The Dolphins could fully understand Tua isn’t playing while simultaneously not going public with that information, genius. They didn’t need to give away one of the few competitive advantages they had

It's not up to the Dolphins. He has to be cleared by independent doctors.
