Due to the limited amount of talent at NT in the draft this year, I think it would better serve the defense to go after the best ILB we can get. Having top flight ILBs will help limit the running ability of the opposing offense, even with average NTs. DE/OLB and CB are the other obvious needs, and should be addressed; especially with the depth that there would appear to be in this draft at those positions. There is supposedly a bit more talent coming out of the draft next year at NT, and we should be able to wait until then to use a high-round pick on the position.

Of course we'll go ILB, we'll also go OLB and NT later. Just because some people do not believe there's a great NT in this draft doesn't mean a great won't emerge from this draft down the road.

I agree that we need an ILB, but what good is an ILB when you don't have a NT? Ideally, you'd like to get the NT in now and groom him, rather than get one next year when Ferguson either retires or breaks down. We all saw how Ray Lewis was less effective for a few years before they got Ngata.

I agree with you. We still have Jason Ferguson, Paul Soliai, and Joe Cohen on the roster. I read an article link on Finheaven back in the fall that our coaches see something in Soliai, so I think they are going to give him every chance this year to prove he can take over after Ferguson. The talent of NTs coming out next year is really good, there are at least 5-6 that could go in the first round, so if it's talent we looking for, thats where to look.
