Illegal Man Downfield

I was at the game but find that I can't observe it as closely as when I watch the TV and listen to the commentators.
What happened re the series of "illegal man downfield" penalties? Who screwed up? One, in particular was a pretty good catch for decent chunk yardage that seemed to be a turning point for the Ravens.
It's not a common penalty but we had at least 3 in the game. Is this poor coaching? Poor execution by the players? What happened?

They were both bad calls. Pouncey wasn't even the furthest downfield. He was within 3 yards of the LOS. 31 yards plus the penalty was a huge momentum killer.

Both called on Pouncey, both bad calls. Commentators concurred...speculated that Harbaugh probably complained to the refs about it before the game and they were watching for it. If you look hard enough for anything you'll probably find it. :idk:

It isn't why Miami lost but it was a pretty awful call. Even if it was 100% legit, the rule IMO needs to be changed. Pouncey in no way impeded the defenders from making a play.

Didn't they call one on The Ravens too? I'm sorry, we only had one more penalty than the Ravens did over the course of the game.

Penalties weren't the reason we only scored 3 points over 3 quarters of football.

I'd like to know the clear definition of the rule. In replays I was expecting to see a player 15 yds down field. Pouncey was barely over the line of scrimmage.

Wouldn't that be excellent coaching if Harbaugh picked that up on our tape and notified the referees before the game? No wonder we don't get those calls, our coaches tend to suck.
