I'm back! I've been gone for a while because I've moved up to Far North Georgia in the Mountains!

Man do I have a feeling about this game today. I think we'll see it all start to come together. Saban knows this is the game to finally find the cohesion on Offense. I feel that the Texans defense is just what Daunte & Company need to start getting their confidence back. They got back a little bit in the second half of the Titans game. Now they'll have their coming out party.

Because Saban knows.......The Patriots await us next week. Time to get our shiznay together.

All in agreement?

If I'm Saban, I'm looking for substantial improvement in Culpepper's game. If it's half time and he still isn't looking great I'd pull him and insert Herrington so he can get half a game under his belt before the Pats game which I'd play Herrington. Now of course if Culpepper continues to improve you don't make the move.

I know some will find this quite drastic. But, we aren't going to throw the whole season away waiting for Culpepper to regain his Minnesota form.

We also need to see some improved blocking from the O line. I know that they are short some starters but they need to keep the defenders out of Daunte's grill.

I dont know, I got a feeling since the G spot is being changed again, and the inconsistancy on the OL means we will be jumping offsides and getting holding calls because Houston and the rest of the world want to see us lose while NE and the Jets lose as well.

We have to take the crowd out of this game which to me means run Ronnie early and often, even if you only get 2-3 yards a pop. I have confidence that Mularky will get the right calls going based on what their defense does. I hope they did their homework this week.

I am concerned that Daniels will get burned alot like last week and that we blitz too much.

I see a tight game. Texans O will want to score alot of points.

We need to see the "Roll" today, there's been absolutley no excitement in Duante's eyes. He needs to get pumped up & off to a good start for this momentum to change. He is lacking confidence right now,IMO, and thats everything for a QB. 2-2 would be a Godsend right now!!! GO PHINS!!! :fh:

I'm not sure that Saban is really focused on getting to the SB this year, or any place else for that matter....he just wants to " Take care of the things we need to take care of relative to what we can do as team to play the way we need to play in order to win in this league...We are in this for the long term not the short term, goals are nice to have but in the end if you don't reach them you've considered your self or the team as a failure when in reality the little things that lead to longterm success have been overlooked relative to having not reached those expectations."

Translation: we're sticking with Culpepper because all this time he spends learning the offense will be valuable to us one day.

Supposedly....

The Texans let Mark Brunell complete 22 straight dumpoffs. If Culpepper cant find some openings in their defense today then i guess we'd better turn to the hall of famer waiting in the wings Joey Harrington.

If he thinks we waste all our time waiting 9 months to see the product that he's been fielding lately then he's got another thing coming.

I'll only get more fired up and go deeper into my statement should we lose due to Culpepper.

At this point....I'm still a glass half full kinda guy. But I and a lot of others are starting to get really impatient. I'll bet your among that group.

We need this game badly. I'd settle for ball control offense today and a win. Let's keep their offense off the field as much as possilbe. Time for some smashmouth football with a bomb or two! GO PHINS!
