Im happy with the draft, but this is what worries me

F

FLOUNDER

Ted Ginn Jr. We all know he has speed and lots of it. But what if his injury from the BCS title game still has effects on him. I would love to have ginn as a dolphin at 100%, but what do we do if during the season he still has problems with that foot.

Your input please

hes not going to practice in the next mini camp but will attend it to absorb the information and should definitly ready for training camp. He also ran a 4.3 40 weeks ago in the rain with a ankle that shouldve been worse then and he said in a press conferance if he had to, he could play today/

What are you worried about? Our "crack" team of doctors evaluated the injury and gave the Dolphins the medical clearance to draft Ginn. There now, don't you feel better?

he said he was 85% at his PC and could play tomorrow if he had too. He will most definately be 100% by July.

They shouldn't be pushing him too fast if he is having problems during the season.

The part that I am concerned about is that he didn't go back into the game, I hope he has a little tougher mentality when he plays for us. You would think a guy would do just about anything to get back into the National Championship Game.

Although I don't know the extent of pain he was dealing with. It can often vary with sprained ankles.

That is correct ! Iv noticed alot of ppl really have him getting on the IR this year! Trust me guys the guy didnt start playing football last month he used to play CB in highschool!

He was the 2nd best or best CB recruit coming out of Highschool so you guys who say he cant play and is gonna get injured can straight up suck it :ninja:

"Ginn paid a visit to the Dolphins' complex Sunday and said his
sprained left foot will be in a boot for about a month.
Rehabilitation will follow, and Ginn said there's no guarantee
he'll be ready to practice when camp begins in three months."

the injury occurred 4 months ago and he still might need an additional 2+ months to recover? the kid needed surgery and opted out in order to avoid hurting his draft status and losing millions in guaranteed cash. i sure as hell hope he can get back to 100%, because without his 4.3 ted ginn is completely useless.

I agree with ya if Ginn aint runnin his 4.25/4.30 speed were in deep kaka! But as far as kr/Pr how much Training camp and Preseason do you really need to learn ? The guy has been doing returns his entire life

They thought it was broken during the game. There was no reason to risk his career with the extent of the injury unknown.

I am not worried about Ginn making it back from this injury. I am worried about him being a bust over the next five years because he cannot make it through a full season or a season. He will heal from this injury but who knows if it will heal all the way? Nobody knows because once he goes back on the field and cuts and turns and whatever, he reagravates it or starts up a new injury (hope to god not a knee injury).

I am over the pick of Ginn. This is what we have now and I have no other choice but to support the pick and pray that Ginn never has an injury bug. I dont like the pick because they never even considered anything else really but this guy. They were locked into him from day one and never looked around anywhere else but to Quinn who didnt fill their requirement in the end.

How do you know they never looked around? I find it hard to believe they did no scouting on all the first round talent and made the proper assesments. Nothing but assumption these past few days. Assume, assume, assume. Where's the link or proof to their entire first round philosophy?

the man said it himself. Both men said it. They said he was our guy from day one. As if that explains the rational for the risk or something. Then Cam says we know his family for years, as if that somehow dictates that he is a better player for the Miami Dolphins than anyone else.

Fact is brother, they never liked Levi Brown and when he went to Arizona, that was one scenario that they would never have to explain away if it was between an injured WR (not a real need position) vs. levi Brown, a legitimate LT. They passed up Patrick Willis. A pro bowl type LB with speed almost comparable to Ginn for crying out loud!
