Cleveland would pay bank if he restructured. New England can barely afford him now that Talib is signed and Edelman just told them to screw on their offer. leggarett blount? He will cost some coin like 3-4 mil avg.
 
Ok how about this? What is the maximum you think he should get? Obviously no one is going to pay him 16 mil except the Raiders but he may not want to go there consider the giant tire fire that they are. What is an acceptable price I say give him 10.5-11 and get him in here. I don't want hear he is only good for press coverage, he is an exceptional talent who can be used in mixed coverage any defensive coordinator worth his salt would get Revis to play right

SVP and Russillo did a great breakdown of his money grubbing career today on their podcast. Dude is never happy, top shelf CB sure, but he's a headache. There's no arguing it. He doesn't understand guaranteed money and will ask for more money at any chance he can get. The Jets had to put a freaking clause in his contract stating that if he held out at any point 3 years at 6m per would be added to his contract to avoid him doing so. Cause he's notorious for doing it...

Not only that he would be more expensive than Grimes and I feel it would be a slap in the face to Grimes to bring in Revis for more money.

screw him if he wants to play for the fins offer him 1 yr 5 millon.
 
I would trade a fourth for him to get it done. His contract number is ridiculous, but we can afford it with our cap space.
 
I don't care how much he makes (I think his current contract is $16 mil a year), he needs to be on this 53 if nothing else to keep him away from New York and New England, oh, and he's one of the best shut down corners in the game.

And if you don't think New England would pay Revis then I don't know what to tell you. Revis isn't your run of the mill free agent that "New England doesn't over pay". But of course we won't trade for him. We'd rather pay 3 crap players than 1 Revis.

I'd be in favor of bringing in Revis. Our defense would at least remain good at something.

I think the key with Revis is that you must understand from the get-go that there is a reason Jets fans came to know this man as "Mevi$."
