:wink:I've just learned that the Dolphins/Jets game will be screened live over here in the UK!

I screamed my house down nearly lol, i was sooo hoping for this game and i've got lucky.

We've even more games per week live over here in the UK now, about 7 per week but only the Dolphins games are of interest to me!

I'm soooo happy, i can wait to see Favre slapped on his butt by Merling! :hi5::woot:

GO PHINS!!

God save the Queen!

Happy for the UK fin fans (had family in london).

Will, add, as a pet peeve, I don't want to see Favre with broken ribs. I would be happy with broken morale from being repeatedly sacked, but I don't wish injury on anyone.

I hope the Skins knock Favre all over the field. Let him know it's a sign of things to come.

I'm a fan of Favre, but that'd be nice to see ;)

I don't expect him to look too great....he's still learning everything and he'll only get a few years. We'll have a better idea in the latter weeks of preseason of where he stands.

How does the NFL get broadcast in the UK, is it on pay channels or pay-per-view or what?

It's on pay channels yes - Sky Sports specifically.

The reason the Dolphins have so many fans in the UK is that NFL first started getting broadcast in the early 80's and Marino/Duper/Clayton et al influenced a lot of people

In the early days we had a 1 hr weekly highlights show on terrestrial (non-pay) channels and from 1982 the Superbowl has always been aired live. Eventually better coverage started coming in the 1990s and has really developed in coverage ever since. Once the sport got switched to pay channels it has been AMAZING coverage for us UK fans and I for one hugely appreciate what Sky Sports give us NFL wise.

We now get live coverage evey week of the regular season:
2 early Sunday games
2 late Sunday games
Sunday night game
Monday night game
+ playoffs & superbowl + the season opener on the Thursday

Channel five which is a non-pay channel show the Sunday & Monday night games also.

Sky also show NFL - Total Access daily and occasional specials on historical teams. The have also have a few pre-season games on this year.

Also on a seperate pay channel (Setanta) we get a NASN channel feed which shows nationally televised NCAA college football.

It's really helped develop fans of the NFL over here, showed by 500,000 people wanting tickets for the Dolphins game over here at wembley last year. and similar numbers for this year's game between NO & SD.

And since a lot of us have been following the game for a very long time now, you will find that we know what the hell we are talking about as well :)
