I love your optimism! It's refreshing on a night full of frustration, disappointment and threads filled with hate and blind ignorance.

I think we have some things to correct, but there were some positives from this game and I think we will rebound in a big way against Buffalo.

I Agree

In fact, I ordered a Dolphins keychain tonight to celebrate.

They will not only win the SuperBowl this year, but probably the Cotton Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and Orange Bowl too. Also, they get a free bowl of soup from me for being guaranteed future champions.

Run my thoroghbreds! Run proud and free!!!!

endor, i understand your pain..but when was the last time you saw a dolphins team like tonight? this just proves that the steelers are one hell of a team..I'm telling you if you ask every steelers player who they don't want to face in the playoffs it would be the dolphins..i guarantee 80 percent would say that...Miami is going to be great this is the greatest loss for us

Yes, this guy is looking at the overall perspective, smart idea. You can get frustrated now, it won't change anything but you will be annoying. If you look at the full picture we are a team that will get better as this season continues, we lost to one of the best teams in the league, its not like we were SUPPOSE to win in their home no less. We will be a better team, a 10-6 team like I predicted.

I've honestly felt we were 1-2 years away from a Superbowl, it would be 07 or 08 in my honest opinion.

Optimism has been rampant around this place, with many feeding off huge helpings of approbation from the media,
faster than they could dish it out, then passing along leftovers to others.

These were the world champs, that won it from a wildcard spot on the road, and anyone who thought they were gonna be pushovers, merely because Batch was starting, got sucked into the hype as well.

I'm very proud of this team, and the job Saban has done thus far, and like you, are very optomistic looking forward..

i was very proud of my team tonite, they played tough, bottom line was this was daunte's first game back and he did play great for 3and half quarters but did make some mistakes at the end, i saw enough to know he's gonna be great.
For gods sake look at what we had to go up against tonite,we showed well and i am happy.
I was write when i went on the record saying batch is a good quarterback and would play well, he did and we lost.
we'll get better guys we can build off this game.
P.s Zach needs help at linebacker on both sides.
when jason allen gets up to speed a lot of those plays will not happen, maybe all three do not happen with jason's speed,he's going to upgrade or secondary.

thought the line played pretty good, great pass protection.

ronnie looked good out of the backfield catching and blocking but i am really concerned about our running game,we sould'nt try to be something that were not.

Mvp ,,,wes walker

we lost our spirit after the two great defensive plays by zach and jason that were both called back bt BS CALLS, WE HAD THEM ON THEIR HEELS AND THOSE PENALTIES KILLED US.

love the play calling by mularkey

I see three weaknesses on this team,
lack of speed and instincts at the safety position.
our outside linebackers do not make plays.
ronnie's running and our line's blocking are not meshing well.
all that said were going to be good this year we played the world champs toe to toe.

thankfully one game doesn't make a season. But, the fins have work to do.

Yes Yes Yes!

This is one of the best threads post-11:30 (ish) PM EST!

It's almost like everyone, including the announcers and fans, forgot that Daunte Culpepper hasn't played a real football game since Oct. 30, 2005. The reason everyone forgot is because he didn't play like it (except those umm... whatcha call em... uhhh interceptions :D ). Honestly, I am so hyped about this year.

I told the guys I was watching the game with last night... I've said it before, but this time I really mean it. This is the year we turn things around. :dolphins:

I totally agree but I didn't like the play calling at all.

Get used to it. You have the worst OC in the league. Steelers run a reverse, MM calls a reverse. Steelers run a misdirection pitch on short yardage, MM calls a misdirection pitch in short yardage. MM is not intelligent. He's a blockhead TE who had a buddy hook him up with a coaching job years ago, and is in waaaaay over his head.

I am with this thread. I saw a few googd things. I was impressed with some of the special teams and pleased with the way the corners performed. Two plays that irked me were the eighty yard miller play. Where was the safety and matching up thomas with that was an easy read. The other was similar on wards touchdown. They have to work something out better for covering the middle. I also saw really physical corners. I like that. The team as a whole seemed to be hitting harder then last year and not allowing people to easily break their tackle. This team is improved and if it wasnt for a few brain farts the dolphins could have nailed the game if they scored on the drive before the first interception. Could have been 24 14. Overall though you can see the kinks in the system but I dont think anyone is going to take the dolphins lightly at all this year. Go phins. so much potential in this team.

While this game was painful to watch, I did see some bright spots. Saban & co. have some work to do, particularly in the secondary and the OL rush blocking.
