I have been such a big john beck supporter. I may have been top 3 in dolphin fan eyes. I believe beck is better than henne, and mccown. I cant defend him anymore because he is no longer going to be the dolphins starting quarterback. Chad Pennington!!! this guy has grown on me like facial hair has lately (Unexpectedly and fast)! The way that Coles and numerous other players have been so emotional struck is outrageous. I think that he is a player that can lead a team, not with his arm but with his heart and passion. He is extremely accurate and smart, the one thing I look for most in a quarterback. He is a stand up guy, and is respected by his teammates. I've hopped off the becks back and onto a life long rival, who would have thought?

As long as the Pennington Mono Rail is not run by the Miami Dade Transportation department, you should be fine.

Welcome aboard!

I'm on the "Lets support whoever is our starting QB express"
Right now it's Pennington, so I'll be cheering for him all the way... especially in week 1!!!!!

I'm on the I just want to have a good QB play for the Dolphins again barge.

I have no idea if you're being sarcastic, but I guess it's cool to see so much enthusiasm for Chad Pennington.

Its definitely not sarcasm. Honestly, I believe that chad can lead this team. I cant really base anything on hope for a 27 year old 2nd year quarterback. If he were 23-24 then I would have some basis of rassionality to keep him at such high praise but, I cant. It looks like the people in charge have made their decision. Its a decision based off 1 quarter in preseason, and 4 games. I dont think its the right decision but, I follow the dolphins not just one player. I was a dolphin fan before beck, I will be a dolphin fan after beck. Lets go Dolphins

I freely admit I'm a Beck fan first. After all...what was my name? NewPhinPhan.

Grant it, I'm not delusional into thinking that Beck WILL rise to super-stardom, but I can sure hope for it. And it's never been at the denegration of other QB's either. Throwing mud at people's faces? Once in awhile.

But, when Beck goes, I'll likely follow him. I want to see a BYU QB become successful again, like there used to be more frequently.

I always had a thing in my heart for Miami, from my youth, and during the Marino days (although I played RB, so Walter Payton was my idol). And it was super exciting to see Beck go to Miami where I thought he'd do some good.

At this point, I'd just like to see him get a fresh start. And with the way the current org is focussing on it's own (at this point), I think he'd be better off leaving and joining the fight elsewhere.

Maybe the results would be the same. Maybe they wouldn't. But, I'll be interested to see how Miami does in the coming year, regardless of where Beck ends up. If only to see if there's a repeat of last year, what kind of fallout Henne gets. I hope there's more patience with him than there was with Beck. But, history, as I've learned, suggests otherwise within this franchise's fan-base.

The Oakland Raider's QB Jamarcus Russell, the 1st pick of the 2007 draft, was very underwhelming in his two starts at the end of last year. Approximately 55% passing, 2 TDs and 4 Ints. It appears he isn't developing fast enough. Based on the Beck haters logic, the Raiders should just cut Russell. Give me a break. It often takes many years to develop a good starting NFL QB. In fact, Marino is the only NFL QB I can remember over the past 30+ years who really played awesome (not just serviceable) his rookie year, and he was a very rare talent. Give Beck 3 full years, and if he still is having trouble, then get rid of him.
