The reason this time is because NFL receiver is simply the hardest position to grasp in the game besides POSSIBLY quarterback.

The fact is many of the games greatest receivers do_not_show_crap their first few seasons in the league... it takes time to learn the NFL game.. Ginn has already shown flashes.. the proof is below..

First 2 years of their career:

TJ Houshmanzadeh -- 60 catches, 700 yds, 1TD.

Steve Smith (carolina) 64 catches, 1000 yds, 3TD

Reggie Wayne -- 77 catches, 1000 yds, 4TD

Vincent Jackson -- 30 catches, 500 yds, 6TD

Hines Ward -- 75 catches, 850 yds, 7TD

Donald Driver -- 25 catches, 350 yds, 2TD

TED GINN, JR -- 90 CATCHES, 1200 YDS, 4TD

I could go on and on with this list...... Please give ginn a little longer to learn the NFL game...

Imagine if all these receivers were just given up on their 3'rd year like this website seems to to with Ginn? Their numbers went up and up each year after...'

Well odds are Ginn's numbers may actually drop this season. Unless he gets more plays such as deep throws, screens, and returns... I believe in him as a player but this year we are really rotating our WR's. Also his early season drops and games where he has 1 catch or 0 catches hurt his stats. His stats will probably go 45 catches 650 yds 3 tds or something. Not bad but not #1. I hope he explodes but in our offense not many do at WR. If he got off to a hot start I would believe he could surpass 60-70 catches and 1000 yards but its too late for that.

What amazes me is when Ginn doesnt play well he is the reason we lose the games. Its not the Defense that gives up 2 points a minute in the Colts game, or the Defense that implodes in the Saints game. We dominate in every aspect of the games offensively, but Ginn's drops lose the game? Not the Defense that my sister could throw passes to my grandma and score?

Then Ginn goes out and SINGLE HANDEDLY wins the jets game. THE JETS GAME!! And you still cant give him any love.

We all get you guys are haters, get something new to talk about. You got to see what happens to our offense when Ginn is on the sideline. Did any one like the results? If you did, please explain.

sir i believe that it is i who is finheavens biggest ginn supporter:buds:

Ok, ginn has 18rec for 211 yards and 1TD halfway through the season as a number 1 WR.

I'm all for keeping ginn as a KR.

How many plays do you think Ginn was on the field for compared to the rest of the receivers on that list? Here's another one for your list:

Chris Chambers: 100 catches, 1617 yards, 10 tds

The stats are meaningless. Look how the guy plays....how he catches the ball....what he does after its in his hands.

Dude- Ginn has been demoted, get used to it. It'll be great if keeps doing well at KR and contributes as a #3 WR- stretching the field, making big catches every so often, but it seems unlikely that he'll put up big WR #'s this year.

We can talk stats all day. The point is all the above-mentioned receivers didn't play like ******* their first few years and then turn it around.

I am well aware that Ginn got demoted. Did it help us at all? Did our offense look better? Can anyone on hear say that it did?

Only thing it did was make Ginn a better Kick returner. Guess what he isnt going to take them to the house very often, so we will gain nothing with his demotion.

it's one game. the offensive line didn't look too hot either.

Ginn has speed as the whole world knows. When he DOES catch the rock he makes first downs. Ginn seems to be a good team guy. Ginn however is not a number 1 receiver he was drafted to be (I am assuming being that he was a top 10 pick but we are talking about the previous regime!). He won't go down the middle as with his frame he knows he won't be able to take the punishment. Right now I love him as a KR and I hold my breath that we will make a tough catch in tight coverage when this team desperately needs him.

You said it.,..

FLASHES.

All we are asking for is consistency...i guess thats too much though.

oh...and the flashes you speak of are mainly on his KRs...

Hes getting dumped on because he sucks at wr.

He seems to have the game grasped he just cant grasp the ball when it is thrown to him

he will never be a number 1.. Just like reggie bush will never be a number 1.. Ted Ginn is a utility player. Every team, good team, needs a utility player. The colts have addai, the patriots have kevin faulk, the saints have bush, the vikings have harvin, the jets had leon washington, the steelers had antwan randel-el (during the 2005 season). I could go on and on about utility players. The fact is, we are a better team with ted ginn in the game. We need to get patrick turner ready for some football, though. If we had turner in the game, in redzone situations, we would be able to do alot more offensively. I just hope miami is ready for this game on sunday because, they know they have a keeper in ginn.

last i checked he is having just as sucky 3rd year, so I guess he is not improving. And I would bet he has gotten way more playing time than most receivers on that list did...
