We beat the Panthers, Broncos, & Chargers. We loss VERY close games to the Patriots & Falcons. The only good team who beat us in an out-of-reach competition (in the 4th quarter) would be the Chiefs. Damn, if we win three games against three teams that we are CLEARLY better than, we are a 9-4 team. :eek:

But still, I am very proud of this team's direction and how hard we play week in, week out. I'm just pointing out the fact that we are beating some damn good teams, and we loss to three ****ty ones..

The Jets and the Bills games were won by the refs and not the team. None of that will exist next year. No penalties. Just great DEfense and an offense that produces TD.

The 3 division losses on games within our reach to win...Jets, Bills, NE hurt more than anything.

The Jets when they beat us, they were still playing with Super Bowl hopes and had 2 "good" quarterbacks and a running back (Curtis Martin out for season now).

We gave that game away @ Buffalo with the Ronnie Brown fumble.

The Browns shutout was completely unacceptable however. Can't get any lower than that.

Is all part of the learning prosses....now we're starting to win games that it looks as if we should lose early on...before we used to lose those games....next year we should improve even more...our young guys on defence will all have a year under their betls and Nick will bring in a few more parts to go along with what we have now.

The three earlier losses were when this team was still searching for their identity under a new regime. Maybe last week they kinda found themselves in that fourth quarter. At least to raise their level this year to build on for a better future.

This is definitely the season that got away. So many close games that we havent managed to put away. It really is a shame

You can play this game all day, we were a Losman INT from being down 30-3 with 18 min left at home against Buffalo. 2 min warning against Carolina and Delhomme throws it to Lance while driving to kick the winning FG. The improved quality of play and understanding are showing up in the results now and that is what it is all about.
