Against KC, Joey threw the ball 35 times. 19 of those passes were thrown to Chambers/Booker.

Chambers caught 3 passes. Booker caught 2.

Chambers and Booker (and Joey) need to do A LOT better than that if we're going to score points against Minnesota. With Minny's stout run defense + Ronnie's injured groin, the WRs will need to produce this week.

(I got my stats from here: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6167492 )

Our wide recievers are weak, neither guy really fights for the ball when its in the air and both guys drop alot of passes. And booker stumbles and falls without contact more than any other football player I have ever seen.

I'm sorry dude but we were watching that game from the sidelines and generally when Joey threw it to either guy, they were well covered and there were often options that were more open. Also, Joey just flat threw the ball out of bounds on a bunch of those and yet they get called as a ball thrown to the receiver because the receiver was covered on the sidelines.

Yeah, but who have they played? Clinton Portis is the best so far and he only ran 10 times (39 yds and a TD). I don't mean to take anything away from them because they are certainly good, but not nearly as good as hyped IMO.

did you not see the TD Chambers caught against the bears?

Their run D is for real I think. Yeah they haven't played stellar runners...I know. But in addition to having the fewest rush yards against them, they're allowing the least YPC in the NFL and that's a nice accomplishment.

1st vs. the Runs, 24th vs. the Pass. Seems like everyone just passes it on them.

Man, Kevin Williams and Pat Williams are such beasts. Crazy.

Also, keep in mind that Minn is in the bottom quarter of the league for passing yards allowed.

are we using any 4 wr set any this year? i hope that we use more 4 wr sets or 2 te and 1 rb and 2 wr sets.

Yeah initially I wanted to say their run yardage is so low because teams just know to keep attacking them through the air. But, you look at their 2.9 ypc allowed and that's not the case. They really do dominate against the run. This will be a tough game.

If what you say is accurrate, then my criticism is that our WRs have serious difficulty getting open.

I still want to believe in Chambers, but he baffles me.

Wide receivers don't get open on every play, especially against double coverage. It's up to the QB to read where the coverage is and find the open man. That's the basics of being a QB.

We were going up against Patrick Surtain and Ty Law, arguably the best tandem in the NFL. What exactly were you expecting?

Again, I don't mean to take anything away from them, but I am not as worried about that as some. I just hope it (their run defense's standing) doesn't cause Mularkey to abandon the run right away. That's my biggest fear.

Also, our D haven't been slouches themselves lately and I think Minn.'s playcalling has been horrible lately.

You think Ty Law still has it? I was under the impression he was washed up.

If you are right that they're one of the best tandems in the NFL, then I feel a lot better. I just know that we're going to have to get big games from Chambers/Booker this week. I do not like relying on either of those guys. Do you?

Minn doesn't score alot of points and going against our defense that won't change. we just need to try and score 20 points and we will win. come on Mare make your FGs

Our D is better overall than theirs yes...but there's no denying their run D is fierce when they allow 2.9 ypc through 9 games. That's ridiculous. I don't care who they've faced/not faced.

I still think running has to be a big part of the game plan because it makes our D more potent and we've won our last two games with defense, contrary to popular opinion.
