1. The good and bad of Tennehill whenblocking breaks down:

The bad news is when the O-line isn’table to sustain their blocks, Tannehill is not able to find ways to buy himselfmore time, or is able to protect the balls as well as he should, if not givenenough time to react, but he also really does not need as much time as most ofthe QBs in the NFL. It has been shown, that Tannehill is among the leaders ongetting the ball off in the least amount of time. His release may not be in theMarino range, but in todays NFL, few have the release of Tannehill.

As far as how Tannehill reacts to early pressure, I would like to think, this is more due to his inexperience, he is still learning, but once it startscoming to him naturally, and he is not longer thinking as much, he will knowwhen to get rid of the ball, or tuck it and take the sack rather then fumblethe ball.

2. Wallace needs to start makingplays:

Wallace needs to stop dropping passes,Tannehill has got to make sure get Wallace the ball when the opportunities arethere, both need to get in sync soon, they are the biggest weapons on offenseMiami has, if they are not clicking, Miami is far less dangerous, but the realpeople that need to get this working soon is the Coaching staff. Wallace is ahuge weapon for Miami, and it’s the coaching staff’s job to make sure Wallaceget’s his hands on the balls as much as possible, whether it be screens, shortpasses, even handoffs while put in motion. Move Wallace around, the coaching staffneeds to make defense think even more where Wallace will be, or how he will beused.

3. McKinnie does not need to be anall-pro:

Would it be great if with Mckinnieon the left, and Martin on the right, miraculously Tannehill started getting 3seconds or better almost every time he went back to pass? Without doubt, but it’salmost a given that will not happen, but all McKinnie and Martin (In his newspot) need to do is just give Tannehill just a little more time then he wasgetting before (as close to 2.5 as possible), and at least enough time forTannehill to react when the play isblown up. Tannehill has shown he can read the defense well enough where he willaudible at the right tome to put the offense in the right position but theO-line needs to at least do an adequate job to allow Tannehill to do the job.

4. Miami does have a running game:

It’s preposterous to hear peoplesay Miami does not have good RBs, that they can’t gain yardage on the groundwith the guys they have, Miller has shown to be very dangerous RB that can takeit all the way at any moment, while rarely getting caught behind the LOS,Thomas on the other hand need to be more consistent, and needs to succeed morein short yardage opportunities, last week against the Bills, he looked really good, maybe for the time being, they should keep starting Thomas, and allowing Millerto came in until he becomes a better blocker, and I would also start using Simmsat FB when Miller is in there at times.

This team is fully capable ofbeating the Patriots in New England, they havebeaten them before with less talent, worse weather they will see this week, against a far more talented Patriots team. -Just my Opinion-

I wonder, if McKinnie were to play LT at the same level that Martin has been playing LT at, and Martin plays RT at the same level he had playing at LT (which obviously isn't good, but still far better than Clabo I think), would that be enough of an improvement to give Tannehill a cleaner pocket on a consistent basis?

That is basically my line of thinking, I can't believe Martin will play worse on the right side then Clabo. I think McKinnie can at the very least play close to or at the level that Martin was on the left, just got to hope with the added size, Martin will be able to play the right side better then he did last year.

If Mac on the left and Martin on the right, can add just .2 or .3 seconds to Tannehil's time, it'll be an improvement.

martin and clabo both gave up 6 sacks each, before the buffalo game. clabo gave up 2 more sacks in that last game. So martin will have to play a little better than he's been playing, or just as good as the last game, when he didn't give up a sack.

I agree, and have no doubt Tannehill stats would make a huge jumps with just that little extra time.

One question is, even if Tannehill is given that time would it take a few games to manifest itself? I'm making a possibly unfounded assumption here, but I wonder if his internal clock has already been sped up from the previous weeks to the point that it may take a while for him to actually feel comfortable in the pocket again.

All very good points. I think we can run with moderate success on them. The thing that is worrisome to me is Aqib Talib has been shutting down anyone in his path, Jimmy Graham included. That and how will the tackles hold up... No Wilfork will be huge, though, I'm not sure how they next guy(s) up are playing..

I think in Miami this is a winnable game, but up there, after they just lost to Jets. Brady doesn't often go down twice in a row, but it would be great for half of the country to witness. We need all of the luck in the world tomorrow and they need get unlucky

Maybe in the beginning, because he has not idea what to expect, but Tannehill is more then tough enough not to be twitchy from the pass-rush, once Tannehill notices that he is starting to get more time (How ever much more time that may be), he is smart enough to know the extra amount of time he has, and will compensate before feeling time is up.

I believe what Hartline said about all of them having to change amount of time to get the play off because of the continued pass-rush and lack of blocking was indicative of all of the players knowing the issue, and compensating for it, same will happen once the time to throw proves to consistently be more acceptable.

Tannhill does not look shell shocked yet, get him a bit more time, and he will become a far more efficient QB.

I think Miami does need to run the ball, and stick with it, that is also why the O-line needs to get better this week, if Miami runs more, there are going to be way more 3rd down plays, and the Pats are going to try to get to Tannehill at all cost. AS far as Talib, Tannehill just needs to continue to do what he has all season, spread it out, be patient, and take your shots when you have them, don't force anything.

Miami winning will be very tough, beating the Pats is already tough, but in New England, it's a huge up hill climb. On the other hand, Miami for what ever reason (Maybe their more focused), Miami is a much tougher team away, and their biggest issue has been the O-line, get better blocking, and I really think Miami has a very good chance to win.
