1. Salary cap space : To my understanding this saves us 5+ mil this year and 30+ mil over the next 3 years.

2. The draft : Minnesota was IMO a big threat to steal Devante Parker from us with their 11th pick, and I no longer believe that is the case. Get me Parker!

3. Kenny Stills : I liked this kid coming out, and I still do. He's very young, very cheap, and an explosive player that stretches the defense just like Wallace did. Maybe Stills will develop better chemistry with Tannehill and our deep passing game will get better.

I think we get 6.6 in cap room. 5.5 is dead

New era. Time to move on from him. I liked him for his TD production, but the past is the past. Get me Clay back and get me a stud in the draft. We now have so much more cap flexibility in the next few years.

1. Cool

2. Now someone else can get him. Keep Wallace this year and use the 14th pick on a LB or CB. Why make a hole to fill it before filling an existent hole?

3. Maybe Kenny Stills will develop with Tanny or maybe he won't.

Do we have a better offense than last year. Doesn't look like it at this point.

I don't know. On one hand, Albert is still rehabbing, and that's bad.

On the other hand, Daryn Colledge is no longer on the team, and that's good.

But Dallas Thomas is still a presumed starting guard for us at this point, and that's bad.

However, Jordan Cameron is one of the most explosive pass catching tight ends in the NFL, and that's good.

Mike Wallace was a good wide receiver who opened up the field, and losing him is bad.

But Kenny Stills is also a good wide receiver who opens up the field, and he's also better at fighting for imperfectly thrown deep balls, so that's good.

I don't see any reason to be down on our offense right now. I kinda feel like people who are very upset with this news don't really understand that Kenny Stills is a legitimately good wide receiver and that trading Mike Wallace for Kenny Stills basically allows us to sign ONE TO TWO MORE players -- like say, Charles Clay with the money we're saving.

With Stills and Wallace both on the team we still had the same need for a big, alpha WR that we do now. The two are basically the same guy but Stills has more upside. If we go into next season with Devante Parker, Kenny Stills, Jordan Cameron and Charles Clay then yes, our offense looks a lot better.

I agree that we need another WR and we will address that need. But how many top WR's do we need here. Like someone said on the Mike Wallace trade post, its about the QB making the WR's better. Landry, Matthews, and Stills are ballers with toughness and physicality. If we add one or two more I think we are still better than last year. Especially with Jordan and Clay (presuming he comes back)

As I've already said...Stills has a bigger catch radius and adjusts to the ball much better than Wallace.

Also......Your point about Parker is true...although I somehow hope its Cooper or White(won't happen).

We traded out the overpaid Wallace for the much younger....better in my opinion Stills.

And in reality....would you do these deals if you knew it would allow us to get Suh? (By saving millions replaceing Wallace).

I'd hope we bring back Clay because Tannehill needs more than just Landry and Sims returning. Well actually, now that I said that, I realize that the offense is built around being at a certain spot and throwing to that certain spot, so maybe chemistry isn't seen as important for this offense. Even with Clay back we need to get a WR in the first or second round. I think we all feel a little worried about the idea of going into next season with Landry, Stills, Mathews as out top 3. none of them are true #1's. Landry has a shot to be a Hines Ward type #1 but that's a tough role to fill. We'll see.

As long as we get that WR in round 1 I will be satisfied. Other points are certainly good too. Might want to add re signing Clay to the list because that sounds even better.
