Out of all the free agents we picked up this year there is one that is getting overlooked. We've heard plenty of Will Allen hype. What about Beasley? He is one of the purest run blockers in the NFL with over a decade of expirience. Could be the most important FA we picked up. May not get the respect because he came from SF where they had no RB, we have one

I will have to agree with you on this bubba... HE could very well be the key to spring Ronnie to 1400+ yards this year!

I'm jacked about Beasley.

At the same time......He IS a Fullback.

Then, I go back and, realize the SF staff is a bunch of goofs.

He'll help. I'm happy we got him.

I have these conflictions.

i sure hope he is does anyone hopefully he can take any of the carries or make receptions out of the backfield as well as provide excellent blocking could be used in pass protection as well for daunte or harrington whoever is playing

IMO Fred BEasley is the THE 2nd best FB in NFL!!

Tony Richardson is number 1

My top guy has to be Lorenzo Neal out in San Diego, allthough he is one dimensional.

but he IS the best at doing that one dimension..

i think mularky lied to beasley and i hope that doesn't create problems down the road.

"I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but the last three years, it's just been real difficult," said Beasley, 31. "Different offensive coordinators, they bring in their own little thing and we were like a missing link in the offense as far as the fullback (in San Francisco). I wasn't allowed to get my hands on the ball like I want to ... I can still bring a lot an offense....Coming here talking to Mularkey, I just fell in love. He was saying the right words, and that's what I wanted to hear."

with chambers, booker, mcmichael and brown plus the fact that apparently linehan's system was left in place, there aren't going to be a lot of touches for fred. hope mularky didnt tell him there would be and i hope that doesnt deter his desire to be a good lead blocker.

Good point. Beasley could be a guy who we've picked up this year that no one expected would make a big impact. He could be huge for us.

I definitely think that this has been a downplayed signing. Two years ago we would have not been able to stop talking about him.

he will do nothing but help our O#. the man will run block, pass block and catch some passes. every once in a while he will even pound a few in there for us. he is going to be great here i cant wait!

Beasley could have a huge impact, hope he pans out. Ronnie will need him blowing open holes, taking out linebackers.
