Being that we will have a tougher schedule next year, the off season picks will be that much more crucial (talent/experience wise) in our success in 2009-10.

Do you agree?

if we have the same impact draftees we did this year, and with another year under the rookies belts, I believe we can compete with anyone... So yes, our draft and FA picks ups would be critical as they always are... the most critical IMO is ILB who can actually cover worth a crap. Although Ayodele is much better in pass coverage than Crowder..

no **** :sidelol:

and we can start by replacing channing crowders .75 forced fumbles and .4 sacks per year for his career average. that and all those tackles 5 plus yards downfield.

I know its an obvious question. I just want you all to put in your two cents worth- positions, players availability (in draft or other), etc. I might not of phrased it right. :rolleyes2:

Ffootball I know that the answer is yes (as it always is), but it's going to be that more critical this time- much more than other years. That's what I meant.

haha sorry i didnt mean to be a smartazz but it just seemed that you answered your question within your OP... harder schedule = harder games = more cruicial needs of improvement

I think saying we will have a tougher schedule is a gross understatement.

agreed the sched is brutal. it's gonna take more than a caretaker under center to win some of those matchups. we're gonna have to make plays.

Well, at this point, Parcells and the whole team is WELL aware of this, and I guarantee Parcells and Sparano will do their best to turn everyone on this team into a machine, and add a few beasts in the meantime

hey, those teams have it brutal too... they do have to play us too. I have all the confidence in the workd that we can beat every team on our schedule ..no, im not saying we will go 19-0, maybe 18-1, but with the one win thatll make the difference.. hear that all you Ratriot fans..

I guess that what I really want to ask is: does next season's results (wins/loses) hinge (mostly) on the off season selections?

The inability of our offensive line to get a push on a good defensive line is our number one weakness. Our running game problems put us at a disadvantage versus Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Jets, Jacksonville, and New England. These are the only top 15 rushing defenses from 2008 on our schedule. Those seven games could be a problem if we do not improve our offensive line.
