Besides the obvious, the improvement in talent at the QB position, what do you think has made the difference with our QBs this year? Daunte is Daunte, but Joey was not too good in Detroit and has looked very good this preseason, and Cleo has played very nicely in preseason. I don't think we've ever seen completion percentage numbers from our QBs like we have in this preseason. It seems like things are clicking for all of them, like they are all making great reads. Do you think it's Mularkey? Garrett? The offensive system? Playcalling? It's just so nice to see our 3rd stringer go 21-28 for 270+ yards, I'm so pleased.

I think it has a lot to do with what Joey talks about all the time. This offense and coaching staff give QBs all the answers to all the possible scenarios they face. That allows them to make the best decision possible and not just throw it up out of desparation and panic. It just sounds like a well thought out process by all the parties involved that allows the QB to make a well informed decision.

Nick is genius tho . . . man he put Cleo out there to put up huge numbers . . . tonight he probably just earned atleast a one to two round higher draft pick value with his performance. He was a possible 5th or 6th round pick, I can see teams throwing a third possibly for him now, definetly a fourth.

The Rams also rested their starters. Don't get so high on Cleo Lemon yet. I mean, I like him too, but he played great against a second or third string defense. He's no Matt Leinart (tearing up first string defenses, not to mention, the best defense in the league in the Chicago Bears).

We are three deep at Quarterback, when in the heck was the last time you could say that?

He also played with second and third string offense. And Unlike Leinart he doesnt have two WRs named Fitzgerald and Boldin

I cant wait to see Leinart fall flat on his face in the NFL....\even Ryan Leaf had a couple good preseason games.

what makes u think leinart will fail? i love him...wish we had drafted him

There is no doubt that our QB situation is the best it's been since Danny was here. We have a bonifide QB starting that can carry the team if need be and adequate backups. Harrington has looked even better in the preseason than I thought he would. Lemon is progressing well. It's just nice to go into a season without a QB controversy. Gone are the days of Ears, AJ, Gussy, and Sage...very nice feeling going into the season....

He's not going to fail because he has too much going in his direction. Two good WR, a great RB, and it's only a matter of time before they get a premier tightend.

I loved the way Lemon & Harrington played last night, all preseason for that matter. So nice we're finally solid at QB all the way to third string.

It's mostly talent. DC's and JH's numbers are very similar to what they always done. The only real difference is that they both avoided turnovers. Some of that was luck though. DC's fumble was recovered and JH threw at least 3 that could easily have been ints. I don't have the preseason stats for CL on SD but he was very impressive that last two years as well.

I'm very happy with our coaching, but the improvement is more of a result having a better GM.
