All the elite "pass happy" teams have done it with 2nd/3rd round picks and developed their WR's. Colston was a 7th rounder, Welker undrafted, Jennings/Nelson/Cobb all 2nd rounders, Mike Wallace a 3rd rounder, Antonio Brown a 6th rounder . . .

you know what they all have, a quality QB. If trading Marshall helps us land a top notch QB it was a trade well worth it. I just don't know if that is the case.

For trading our nut job WR? I don't know what we are doing at QB but trading Marshall will probably end up being extremely brilliant in the end.

Maybe we trade down and take a WR like Wright of Baylor or Floyd of Notre Dame??? Or maybe Mohamed Sanu of Rutgers if we get an extra second rounder by trading down. Almost all the top free agent WR's are off the board already.

Fact is with draft picks in the top 10 going at 3 million a year, trading Marshall and his 10 million a year salary just isn't appealing to alot of teams.

Sure the Rams would love Marshall, but they probably could get Blackmon at 4 million a year for the next 4 years. That rookie cap really has changed the way teams make moves.

I figured that after his ProBowl performance that he would be worth at least a second. Why couldn't we have given them our second and got the Bear's first? I am not at all sad to see him go, I just think that we got fleeced!
