Hi Folks - wanted to try and gleam some wisdom from the local knowledge of Finheaven'ers if I may. I used to live in Boca'93/'94 but I suspect So Fla has changed a lot since then.

A buddy [Steelers fan unfortunately] and I will be in town for the game and wanted to ask for some ideas/suggestions on a few things. We land Thurs evening and fly out Mon. Staying in South Beach.

1. We'd like to take in a quality high school game Fri night - any suggestions? - yes, all FLA HS Football is quality :) - reward prefer something relatively near by so we can get back to the highlight easily after the game. I had wanted to see St. Thomas as I used to know Coach Smith, but they have an away game I believe

2. Any good spots to watch college football on Sat? close to south beach?

3. Any pre game/tailgating events that are 'don't miss'?

3. Any suggestions as to any good/must see nightlife spots to go check out would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Pat.

Try not to cry when you see this team play in person

Be ready to leave at the half

don't cry

I know man, a buddy and me are thinking of doing this next year and I'm not so ****ing sure I want to spend so much on this ****ty team.

I was going to say, prepare yourself for the fact that after the game you're going to feel like you wasted your money. I hope you get to enjoy everything else

Ozzy rules!!

Pat - Check out the outdoor restaurants on Lincoln Rd in Miami Beach. Good quality and capture the beauty of the area. Most are not cheap but if you like Cuban or Italian or Asian or modern fusion cuisine - it's all there on the mall. Whatever you feel like. Suggest you google Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach to see what I'm saying. Recommend for evening but also good for lunch.

Hey man, we can take the Steelers.

As long as the ref isn't Gene Steratore.

Hi Guys - many thanks for the info, very helpful indeed. And for the laughs also, hopefully I won't feel like I've wasted my money but at least we'll have the weather.

Thanks again - much appreciated.

On the 14th you can watch Miami Central vs Northwestern. Great rivalry between a little river and liberty city school. Recent notable alumni: Devonte Freeman, Joe Yearby, Dalvin Cook, Teddy Bridgewater, Amari Cooper< Vernon Carey etc...

The game is being played at Traz Powell stadium.
