I mean with draft in 4 weeks now, do you think we are set with wirght brothers, evans, vickerson, traylor, holliday ,roth and JT or do you thinks we must go young DT or DE in the draft or with 1er june cut because their play level will not be efficient this year cause they are too young with inexperience.

In my opinion, we are set and we just need to concentrate on offense , the only piece we need in defense is another CB (mc cauley is my favorite).

thanks

I think we are set for this season coming up. But if there is a guy sitting there at 9 like Carriker, it would be reasonable to take a Dlineman. Our dline is not young. So if you run across a stud DL in the draft that can spell our starters and take their place down the road, you strongly consider it.

No, we can improve here. Draft Okoye and trade Vikerson or Evan for future value. Unfortunately, Okoye will probably be a top 5 pick, but I can dream.

yes; and we need to just get some secondary help i think we are decent there but we need some more young talent

We have a lot of 4-3 DT's but are sparse in 3-4 NT's. We have enough DT projects and maybe could use help but only through veterans. DE's aren't an urgent need and I'm sure we can find a quality one late in the draft or convert one of our smaller DT's for the spot.

Definitely need a talent upgrade along the DL. Both in terms of skill and depth.IMO, Branch would perfect.

We are drafting Quinn,Ginn, or CB. Hopefully we trade down and draft Ginn or CB.

There is no way in H*** we are drafting a DL in the first round. That's almost as ridiculous as drafting a TE in the 1st round.

If there was a tackle available that wasn't an long reach I think we might take one but it looks like Levi Brown will end up at Gaurd.

Holiday,Wright, and Vickerson can all play end; in fact an ideal situation might be that Rod Wright plays so well that we move Holiday outside and plug Rod in. Our DL the way it is right now with the return of Wilkinson is deep and strong, and may be the strongest and deepest positions we have.

It's the secondary and the whole offense that are in need.

We could use a pure NT for 3-4 and a speed rusher for 4-3, for depth purposes. This season we are fine, especially at the 3-4 DE/4-3 DT position.

I've been back and forth on the Branch/Okoye debate VS. drafting OLine.

Because it is my belief we need to focus this draft up front on both sides of the ball. I could care less about skill positions right now. We've neglected both sides of the line with low picks or no picks for WAY TO LONG.

Branch appears to be a student of the game. And he seems polished when he talks. I like that.

Okoye is 19. NINETEEN! How many opportunities do you have to draft a player who could play 11 years by the time he's 30? His youth would actually be such a benefit at this point. He could protege' behind JT for the next 2 years. Imagine the knowledge JT could pour into that young body. The opportunity alone is almost a can't miss.

I just posted in another thread that we should go:

Round 1 - Levi Brown LT
Round 2a - Justin Blalock LG
Round 2b - Samson Satele C
Round 3 - DT (Paul Soliai)

As you can see, I believe beef is what's for dinner this year. But, if we were to nab Branch/Okoye with the 1st, I'd be OK with inverting my draft wishes... as long as we fill the DT/NT, LT, LG and C positions with our first 4 picks.

Adding Branch/Okoye to our (underrated) abundance of youth on our DLine would solidify the DLine for the next 4 - 7 years depending on contracts.

But, make no mistake, we need OLine BADLY. Otherwise, we're going nowhere fast on offense.
