It seems that the #32 pick may hold the most value for us, be it trading down a bit or picking someone that should have gone in round 1. With all of our QB interest...Ryan, Henne, Flacco, and now Brohm, could we be trying to create a stir to get these guys taken in round 1 so guys slip to us and thus increasing the value at 32? #32 is essentially the last pick in round 1 with the Pats losing theirs. If we did move down a few spots here, does anyone have a recent history of compensation for the pick? Also, any chance Beau Bell is stilla round at this pick? I think that he looks like a stud and had the attitude that our staff would like.

I actually think if there will be a trade it will involve our 32nd pick. If Atlanta does pass on Ryan I could see them trading with us to make sure they get Brohm if he's still available. As long as he gets by Minnesota I don't see any team taking a QB. I could see two 2nds plus a 4th maybe higher.

I got to agree here...our #32 would be much more coveted than our #1. IMO there will be a lot of KEY players picked up between the #25 - #40 picks. What I mean by that is, a lot of highly ranked *need* players will be available in there, guys that could have been 1st rounders, but may have gotten bumped by the BPA theories. I wouldn`t trade that pick though, we are one of those teams that has a LOT of needs.

If a team like Atlanta would give us their 34th(from Oak) and 37th it's a no-brainer. I know that's purely hypethetical but we wouldn't make any trade unless there's great value in it for us.

1st off there is no way in hell Atlanta gives us #34 and #37, to get up to #32! Secondly, as i agree there is the possibly we trade out of the #32 spot to acquire more picks, i think the pick that we own that has the most potential to be traded away is our #64 selection (top of round 3). Since this year only 2 rounds are on day 1, alot of teams will know of some player that slipped through to round 3 that they really want and wont be available for long and they'll have all night to crack a deal with us for the pick.

*ATL owns OAK's 2nd round pick, which is #35 right? Not #37? Oak has the 4th pick in round 1, wouldnt they have the 4th pick in round 2 as well?

Actually Oak's pick is the #34 pick. In situations where there's a tie and a coin flip decides the first round, they rotate it each subsequent round. Atlanta goes to the bottom of the 4 win teams and OAk to the top. So Atl got Oak's #34 pick and they still have the #37 pick. Don't forget they also have houston's #48 pick in that round too. So they are sitting pretty to stay and pick some good players or move around.

If there's a top CB prospect at our #32 pick, I really can't see us trading out of that spot unless we only move back a few spots and still get that player . . . . but that's remote at best. It likely will be either our other 2nd or 3rd round pick that will be traded depending on who's there.

32 is totaly decided with what we do with 1
if we go jake long, then that pick will get a lot more recognition then if we take chris
everyone knows we will go oline with either 1 or 32, as we should. but if they no we are going to go lineman in the 2nd they wont trade up with us because we are no treat to take "their" player kenny phillips or dan conner or one of the corners may be one of these kind of players that teams would want to trade up for if they fell

If WE want Brohm, then all Atlanta has to do is trade up a few spots to 30 or 31. Ouch!

That could certainly happen and if we want someone else and we get a terrific offer we will trade it.
It's been said a few times that if D.Harvey is not available Jacksonville may trade their pick, same with SD because they have no outstanding needs and they would be willing to trade for depth purposes.
Baltimore, Minnesota and Carolina may all be interested in moving up in the 2nd if they don't get a QB in the first. It will be interesting to watch and see what happens.

The talent available at the top of the 2nd round will have the greatest value for any trades to happen. Nobody is going to give up alot to trade somewhere in the 3rd, it will happen but your return naturally will not be as high. In the top of the second your getting guys you had on your board listed as 1st round talent getting paid 2nd round money, that's when teams are willing to give you alittle more to make sure they get that guy they covet so much. That is also how you improve your team more efficiently and more cost effective.
