Seems to me like an indoor facility is much needed now for training camp practices. That's going to limit fan access as I have yet to see one with bleachers. Besides, the teams that use them, only use them in the winter when there is 4 feet of snow or temps are way too damn cold. Those times are during the season and practices are closed to the public then anyway. I still think we should practice some outside. But what happened to Jeno today looks too much like what happened to Korey Stringer. We cannot have another incident like that in the NFL or any other sport for that matter. Wayne has the $$. Forget about a roof and build a facility for the players to practice in during training camp. Hold a few practices outside in the evenings for the fans. The safety of our players needs to come first.

Can I get an amen?

No. They have to play games outside. They need to practice on what they'll play on.

Sorry, I believe we need an inclement weather backup facility other than a rodeo pit that has cow poop residue embedded in the dirt that scrapes against players' cuts and wounds, but an indoor facility for fair weather practices is not necessary, IMO.

And btw this is the first incident I've heard of its kind here in Miami since...ever, really. Generally, the Phins know what kind of weather they're dealing with, and handle it very well.

I think King would agree, he did say in his report that he bets Mr. H. will build a indoor facility before it's all over..

They would still practice outside during the regular season when its not so damn hot. But in July and August and the better part of September..it can be dangerous. I'm only suggesting one for training camp and when there is inclement weather. Bet it gets done. Its not that damn expensive. Just place a huge air-conditioned bubble on one of the fields. It will be temporary.

It's not dangerous if you're diligent in taking precautions. As I said, this is the first time I can EVER remember a dolphin being airlifted out to a hospital for heat stroke, and now it appears even this was nothing close to a Korey Stringer type scare. I maintain that the Dolphins' practice conditions during training camp are certainly not the most dangerous in the NFL, and the Dolphins have a great track record of staying clear of heat stroke and everything, yet clearly being the superior conditioned team in the months of september and october.

You will loose the fans access. They won't do some practices for the fans. THe indoor facility would have that indoor turf and that is not what we play on. Rumor has it that we will have an indoor facilty built but just for practicing prior to a game we play on that rubber indoor turf field. If suggestions are made that due to heat we go indoors for good. There goes your free, honest, and fast reporting from our FinHeaven camp reporters. Opening training camp up to the public is a huge undertaking and a large expence. They do this for us the fans. So don't support an indoor facility, the players can handle it, they have been doing this all their lives.
