Signing veterans as stop gaps because of poor drafting lead to situations like this. Hayes is looking brittle too. We need better drafting/ coaching and younger bodies

You think we had better drafts then?

It doesn't get any worse than our draft from 5 years ago.

Fair enough consider Gase just churned half his coaching staff from last year. Not sure he was happy with his assistants if he fired them. The roster has been purged of basically any player Gase didn't draft outside of Jones, Denny , RT, Parker, Wake, Akins and James. That means the remaining 46 or so are Gases guys drafted or otherwise. Thats left Gase in a tough position to fill many of the holes in the roster he created.

I think it was implied that we need to improve on what was taking place 4,5, 6+ years ago.

Not so much of an indictment of the current brain trust although hard to believe we didn't draft a single OL this year.

Next year should be fun when we draft 2 OL, 2 DL and 2 LB's.
