Defensive end Adewale Ogunleye sustained a knee injury during the morning practice. Wannstedt said the injury was a bruise and Ogunleye should return soon, possibly today. Receiver James McKnight (stinger), defensive end Jay Williams (cramps) and offensive guard Jamie Nails (cramps) left the afternoon practice early.
Defensive tackle Tim Bowens, returned to practice after missing the morning session to rest his knees. Guard Mark Dixon returned from an illness. Linebacker Devin Lemons (calf) and defensive ends David Bowens (knee, Active/Non-Football Injury list) and Lemanzer Williams (shoulder, NFL Europe's injured list) did not practice.
Running back Travis Minor and defensive end Rob Burnett were both excused because of deaths in their families.
