"Inside" Info on Daunte's Knee

I wonder what will lead to the swelling? Him running on it? Seems like he's doing alot of that now. Hits to the knee? That would probably lead to alot more than just swelling.
There is alot of difference between running around in practice and having to drop back and run away from a 300 lb. guy trying to tackle you.I agree. If we rush this, there will be alot worse than swelling.Swelling would go down in a couple weeks and Joey could take over and then Daunte would come right back. That is the scenerio for next year. This year I don't think that we should rush this.

holiday inn express

after 1 night at the holiday inn express i woke up and bing bang i saw in my dream that they rested Culpepper untill week 4 because of over doing it in training camp. all the Guys and gals here at finheaven along with the dolphins went on to win the super bowl, we watched they played
like i said it was my dream :)

Personally, I dont care which guy starts. I think we lose at Pitt, but put up a good fight for the rest of the season. We will probably make it to the play offs with or without Daunte, but that is where it will get interesting. Who can play, who cant. That is when Saban will earn his nuts.

Joey Harrington could suprise us all since he's escaped that trainwreck in Detroit! I'm kinda curious to see what he brings to Miami.

guys, maybe you should re-read his post. he never said dr. andrews was in the cab, he said a guy who evaluted the knee was in the cab.

and im sure you are all aware that daunte probably saw more than just dr andrews about the situation. he could just be one of the few doctor's he saw as 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinions to be sure on what to do etc.

i believe it, and its very logical info.

Maybe it was a guy that examined his MRI for all we know.

I don't see why everyone is concerned about Daunte being back for week 1. I would much rather have him miss several early games and come back strong than be ready for Pittsburgh only to have to miss NE or the Jets in Weeks 5 or 6.

I want him back as much as anyone but his long term health is what all Dolphin fans should be concerned about...not Daunte being ready for training camp or Week 1.

It might actually be better for him to play in week 1 than wait till week 4. Logically, they get you into rehab pretty quickly after surgery. Why not let you rest and let the injury heal? To get you going and get flexibility to the joint. It might be better for him to play a game or 2, then rest up a game or 2 and play again instead of not playing. It makes sense to me. Then again, what the hell do I know.

Perhaps you should re-read my post! ;) Yeah, I referred to "A" Dr. Andrews...meaning not necessarily Dr. Andrews, but obviously a very qualified Doctor. Your basic GP ain't getting anywhere near Daunte's knee for a little look. It would be team physicians and specialists only...not the kind of guys who go rambling on about their patients and violating the Hippocratic oath. That's all I'm saying.

Like I said, I also believe that it is logical info in regards to the fact that even if Pep starts, their could be setbacks.

So this Doctor violated confidentality and the Federal HIPPAA law to talk to a cabbie??

Right........

you only have to follow HIPPAA if you electronically bill, if you dont you are not subject to HIPPAA yet

Okay, you got me! I'm a liar. I made it all up. I figured a "cabbie" would be more believable than me saying I actually ran into him myself. Or better yet...I should have said that I'm a doctor myself and he's a colleague of mine. My bad for using such an elaborate story.:rolleyes2
