Now, this should be taken lightly! It involves allot of hearsay, but its the offseason and news is slow. I work with a guy who has a friend in Miami who was in a club (dont remember the name, but I'll get it) and Edgerrin James was there. He was telling all who would listen that he's ready to come home (Miami), and knows he'll be in a Phins uniform next year. Now I know we've heard the "James wants to come to Miami" news, but this was fairly recent, and apparently from the man himself. Whether you agree we should pursue him or not, it's nice to know that a top 5 RB is still so interested in playing here.

Again, this is heresay, but what else are we gonna talk about?

I wasnt sure if you were kidding that you were really based in Iceland.I was a communication and cryptology specialist in a place called Rockville.
Well named .Just rocks and wind.Endless days in the summer and two hours of light in the winter .I had a pass to the American Embassy so I got to know the local women. So fine. But the dancing lights (Aurora Bouralis) in the winter was a sight to see.

There are some incredible natural sights to see here (both of the geological and female persuasion) :D

I use to work at a breakfast restaurant in Port Charlotte (my aunt's place) and this guy that use to come in every weekend Anthony was a real good friend of Edgerrin's. Unfortunately, Edgerrin has been saying that he's coming home to Miami for nigh on 3 or 4 years now. He's got the opportunity this time, no doubt, but he's ALWAYS been talking about it, never actually making it happen. His number one priority is still his wallet, he just assumes Miami is going to "get it done" because of the way Ricky went south on us. That doesn't mean we're ready to "get it done"

We are getting off topic and the thread might be moved.Yes the possibility of Edge coming to Miami has been discussed widely on this forum .But it has been mostly talk because it looks like the Colts will franchise Edge and there he would be too expensive for the Fins to acquire especially as there will be so many other RBs available such as Alexander ,Jordan etc.and the draft is deep as well at the position. But anything is posible.

Yeah, it's definetly clear that he wants to play for us. Is it that simple, though? In football you don't usually get what you want. Especially if it has to do with money. Hopefully, we'll be able to get him. It'd be nice.

It would be great if we could get him!! I just don't see the Colts just letting him go, probably going to TAG him.

I dont think he's got many more good years in him guys. Id go with a rookie in the draft which seems to be the direction the teams leaning toward.

Saban isn't going to give Edge huge money. PERIOD. You think Saban's plan of rebuilding (and that is what we are doing) includes giving a RB getting into his late 20's who has had major knee surgery monster bucks? Don't think so, especially with a draft deep in RB's.

I don't think Saban will give up all of that money either but give Edge some credit. He is a top 5 nfl rb who IMO still has some great years ahead of him. It's just that Saban is rebuilding and high priced veterans don't sound like part of his plan.

I dont want him. Hell end up screwing our cap up in 3 years when hes washed up. Id rather spend the money in upgrading the O line and take a chance on a couple of rookie backs that wont command HUGE salaries......I think that Shelton kid from Louisville may be a sleeper 4th or 5th round much like Terrell Davis was.

My Father spent 6 plus months in Greenland....he said the only that was green there was the powered eggs after cooking them with fish oil and the soldiers after the ate them. They lost more soldiers during storms and wind, than the first day landing. Till this day, he hasn't ate a fish...any kind of fish. :)

He still thinks the Army did that on purpose....made them so mad....they took it out on the Germans.
