looks like Trent Green is coming to town soon, Ricky Williams getting reinstated, and if we can trade for Randy Moss and draft some quality offensive linemen, we might have a chance to have a decent offensive team this year and with the defense we have in place now (taylor, joey, crowder, zack & company). i can definitely feel we can win NOW!!! i know alot of you will probably disagree with me about trading for Green and Moss, but can we afford to wait around for this offense before our defense gets to old. i dont think so...just my opinion.

Why do we need Moss? I think by just adding Green and most importantly RICKY COMING BACK gives us a serious offense. The best backfield in the league, good receiving corps, and a decent OL looks like we shouldnt have problems getting to 20 points. Anything we add after those to guys is gravy. Quit sleeping on our receivers folks. Quit sleeping on Ricky. Quit sleeping on our OL. The addition of a QB that is avg or better makes us a strong candidate to win at least 10.

Boy that sounds awfully familiar to what people were saying when we added Culpepper last year...

Adding a 37 year old QB with concussion problems and a malcontent WR who only plays when he wants to will not turn us into instant contenders. Bringing Ricky back and drafting some quality lineman will help us to turn it around, but don't expect instant improvement.

We dont need Moss, sure it'd be nice to have a speed reciever but it is not a necessity IMO. We need a QB and some Lineman and I think we'll be fine.

A decent o-line? You can't be talking about the fins. Since moving Shelton to RG I'd say our o-line is better than the Raiders. That's ranks us at about 31st in the league.
Shelton and Carey dominated the right side last year. I guess if we run all plays right and roll the QB out right every play our line will look good.

Our recievers are terrible...If we cant get Russel or Brady Q...then trade up and get INSTANT OFFENCE with Calvin Johnson or Adrian Petterson! These two guys are this years Reggie Bush and Vince Young and whomever passes on them will regret it! I am not opposed to taking a great defensive player either and just making our Defense Offensive!
GO DOLPHINS!!!:D

With all due respect, this coming from a 44 year old?
Trent Green MIGHT be better than what we had last year. MIGHT
Ricky WIlliams, while being able to spell Ronnie once in a while didnt exactly tear it up last year.... in the canadian football league
Our Oline is hideous... Terrible.
Randy MOSS:sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol:

I have a new motto. Any thread that has us taking Randy Moss should instantly end up in the depths where it belongs:wink:

Moss ?? I doubt seriously that if Cam is not enamored with RW, he'd never, never want a Moss type player...Besides, is Moss the guy he was 2-3 yrs ago, I doubt that too. To top it all off, will he want to come here with CPep's status in doubt and how much money would he want...There's no way we pay him the $9 m he's scheduled to make...

Even getting Green, we are drafting a future QB. And unless the kid really sucks, I expect him to play quite a bit. Which is one reason I think Kolb is rated so highly by the Fins...he's got alot of experience and seems ready to play.

The thing is, CC flourished in the year or so that we were running NTs offense and we had a running game. The problem (or so we all thought) then was that we didn't have a RB until RW came on board. Then we all discovered the horrible truth that our OL simply sucked. We've been floundering around since then trying to piece-meal the OL. FA hasn't worked for us in that regard either. So the key is to instant offense may be more along the lines of better OL, and not better receivers. I could see us going after a WR in the later 2nd pick, since this draft is rather deep there. Hagan will have to show something and I think he will. Even without draft help, with Hagan on the outside (he should be better at getting separation from the DBs this year like most WRs are in their 2nd year vs. their 1st year and CC in moving around more and in the slot more often bodes well for their chances for success.

Of course, getting a QB that can get it to them is also a major consideration. Most seem to think that Green is a foregone conclusion. That would be a better option than Frerotte was. As to CPep, everything hinges on his health and whether he is still here after we see what transpires in the draft and Green. It's a real precarious situation. Lemon, while a strong backup doesn't seem to be the answer. If he were, would they be going after Green and having committed to drafting a young gun as well ???

The problem is that we two areas to fix before we can evaluate the WRs. One thing else I could add, is that Cam's play-calling could also be a strong factor in how well the WRs do...that is something that we missed terribly last year. If we'd had better QBing while Linehan was here, they'd have done a lot better than they did and that was considered a decent year for CC and MB.

I think if none of the QB drop to us or if okoye is gone ..we should trade down and try to get GINn. We saw what hester did the for bears last year. Ginn could give us a solid 2nd WR while providing explosiveness in our special teams.

If we were to bypass Tedd Ginn Jr and trade up to draft Brady Quinn...we would need Randy Moss. Maybe Culpepper for Moss.

WHY?

Let me start by posting a few reason why not...
Randy Moss
A: Hasnt done squat in over 2 years
B: Would push our salary cap waaayyy over the top
C: Admits to taking plays off
D: Has a TERRIBLE attitude
E: Wont block downfield for Ronnie?
