On a positive note.

I was watching NFL Network and they were critiquing the Vin Jackson contract. Baldy made a very interesting comment at he felt the pick up and contract was not justified. He said having premium dollars in a WR is not necessary. He said that the premier teams in the league do not invest large money into WR. Championships are won with your interior line’s and Premium QUATERBACK play. His examples – NE, Green Bay, Giants (although they draftd Nicks in the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] – I was SOOOOOO Pissed at Miami that year cause I wanted either Nicks or K Britt).

So I started thinking maybe he has a point. Maybe Philbin finds 2-3 good receivers that can get the job done. Just MAYBE. Nut 1[SUP]st[/SUP] he HAS to hit on a QB. So, I guess what I am trying to say is maybe some of need to give the front office a chance. I know it is hard based on their track record but maybe just maybe, and hopefully they have a plan.

In the West Coast offense you don't need a 6'4 220lb Alpha receiver, 3-4 smart receivers that run good routs and know where to be at the right time, is it nice to have an alpha WR? yea I think it is and I would love if we drafted Floyd but IDK if it will happen, Blackmon fits the mold of a WC WR a little more with his frame 6-1 215lb, I could also see us adding kendall wright.

Exactly right. Games are won at the line of scrimmage. Add some good/great QB play on top of that, along with a sprinkling of talent at various skill positions, and you'll have a chance to win the SB. Classic examples are NO a couple of years ago, and the Giants this year.

I saw that too...Baldy is a big Soliai fan as well.

After this first phase of FA, there will be a ton of valuable players to pick up...lots of time left.
