I have found in research of past NFL drafts something that was very interesting. In my study I did not consider the 05 or 04 drafts. This is because it is too soon to say whether those players wil develop or fall to the waste side. I found that in drafts from 99' to 03' every 1st round had anywhere from 10-12 busts. That means roughly one third of recent first rounds end up being disappointing. I just found it hard to imagine that 10-12 of the players who will be drafted on Saturday will be busts. Also, I found that 25 former 1st round picks are currently unsigned. Now a couple such as Charles Woodson are only on the market because they want too much money, but most of them, such as Antuan Edwards, Wendell Bryant, or Matt Stinchomb, will not be signed.

So in essence, the Dolphins, especially because they are right smack in the middle of the first round, have a 1/3 chance of drafting a bust. That kind of sucks!

Here are two players I will be unhappy with: Chad Greenway or Kamerion Wimbely.

that means they have a 2/3 chance of getting a good player. I'll take my chance with Saban's draft savvy.

so far hes drafted ronnie brown= awesome...channing crowder= gem....matt roth= unknown really by me...and a few others..so far hes chosen the good guys!...i have faith

I love Manny Lawson. I however would rather Chad Jackson. If Jackson is gone, I think the Dolphins should trade down 5-10 picks and maybe pick up a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Then, maybe draft Lawson or even a safety like Darnell Bing.

anybody think we'll trade down?

Yes, looking at other team needs and selection order, I wouldn't be surprised to see us moving down twice in the first round, but not out of it.

How much did JJ Wanny and Spillman contribute to that? I think Saban still has a pretty great gauge on the college players though, so I think were in a much higher % then 66%

Please NO to Chad Jackson.
I think he's a bust waiting to happen.
With all that speed, what was his avg yards per catch last year. 10 yards and change, I believe. And what before that?
He's ranked high because there are few other stud receivers and he ran a fast 40 at the combine.
My opinion, which is worth a pound of carrots, says stay away from Chad Jackson.
