interesting and matt and young will not participate in the throwing drills so i HOPEEEE they drop their stock somehow. I personaly dont appreciate nor think its right. if they are scared to pass then they shouldn't be in the top 5. Cutler will do the passing, 40 and shuttle runs.

and cinnncy said they will NOT put C. Johnson on the trade block and that lewis told him he wants lesss distractions and more leadership
 
it would be stupid for matt or vince to throw at the combine. it could do nothing but possibly hurt their stock. they will throw at the pro days on their campus, their routes and their receivers. the combine is used to help the stock, neither vince nor matt need help. cutler is doing the combine because he does have a lot to prove

saying that though it could kill them if the guys that show, show well.

Vince and Matt won't be throwing to their receivers next year will they? That could play a factor.
 
You have to read into what Culpepper said a little deeper. He said he see's his future in Minnesota because right now, it's the PC thing to say, but when he said he's looking for a raise (A guy coming off a MAJOR injury whose team didn't produce until Brad Johnson took the field) then he's saying, I want something I know Minnesota can't give me, purely with the hopes of moving elsewhere. I think Culpepper wanting to heal first and move on 2nd to a change of scenery is closer to the truth.

I am sure Matt Leinart would love to drop....would you want to be the New Orleans Saints QB??? Nahh.
 
Top Qb's do not workout at the combine. They refuse to be compared to lesser qb's if they have an off day at the combine they could drop. They like to be on their turf with there recievers and the show case guy with all attention on them. It would be stupid for matt or vince to show too much or even be there. I am sure their agent has informed them....
 
It makes NO sense for Leinart and Young to throw at the combine. As others have said, it can only drop their stock. We all know that Bush is going number one. We pretty much know that Leinartand Young will go second and third in either order.

The way the throws work at the combine is that they have to throw to receivers they don't know and routes they aren't perhaps, familar with. That isn't realistic. Heck, evenwhen they are rookies next year, they are going to have time to develop a relationship with their receivers and routes.

Cutler is throwing because he could potentially raise his stock into the top ten if he performs well. Same with everyone else there. I see no reason to throw if I am Leinart or Young. No matter how good any other QB does at the combine, they will not pass up those two.

I wish Youngs stock would drop. I would be waiting at 16. Just hope the Jets dont get him. We would have a tough time tackling that dude.

I would hurt to see the Jets get vince but they are in so much of a mess it would even take vince 4 years to be a factor. They are going to have to release 10 starters just to get under the cap. I love to hate the jets.

amen to that Manny... its about time the Jets take a back seat in the division, right there with the Bills... NE should be our only competition this year, so even if the Jets do get Young or Matt L. (which I hope they dont get Young in particular) there is no one in the draft that can just up and 'save' that team for the next few years... good points Manny...
