Interesting info from Dave Hyde on how Drew Rosenhaus views the Dolphins front office

Belichek pulls this crap every year but when he does it he is a shrewd business man who knows exactly what he is doing. Give me a break.

Rosenhaus doesn't say anything so that must mean he has major problems with the front office and thinks they are clueless clowns. Notify PFT or Adam Schein to write yet another original Dolphin bashing article. Even though it might be an overreaction we need more and more negative Dolphins articles because even though free agency is a week old and the draft hasn't happened yet, the Dolphins 2012 season is already over.

Depending on how much ego Ireland brings to the draft, if he shocks all of us and allows strong coaching imput, I am optimistic that appropriate players will be drafted for the WCO. I am not a fan of Irelands, and in some regards believe he should have been terminated with Tony to get a real fresh start on the franchise, but these are the cards to be dealt with. Philbin and his staff are what give me hope, certainly more so than a sudden personality change in Jeff or Ross.

Drew rosenhaus is on par with incarcerated Bob in terms of how much credence I give what he says. Everything he says, and I mean everything, is agenda driven and with always his best interest at heart. When I ever see him on tv as an "insider" or analysist, I snicker to myself and quickly change the channel

Funniest sig ever

I'm sure Bell was the first client of his to be made a broken promise...

The NFL will always be a business. Let's not try to make it seem personal.

their pissed off cus ireland is playing a game they dont like to play...its called business....a value business.

I think the reason they didn't restructure Bell is because that would have involved a multi year contract extension and I doubt that they wanted to do that because of his age. Waiting for the market to dry up and reduce his options before cutting him i believe is an attempt to possibly get him back on a 1 year deal for less money if there are no suitors for his services. It's a risky gamble on their part but hopefully it works out for the best.

I find it hilarious the level people will go to somehow try and paint this in a great light.

For one, there are ways of clearing up salary without cutting your hardest working, longest tenured locker room leader. Isnt Jake Long in the last year of his contract? Isnt Cam Wake in the last year of his(although yes, Wakes making so little its doubtful that would save us money)?
I believe its next years offseason in which the salary cap floor returns as a requirement, if it hasnt returned already. I can think of alot worse ways to spend that money then on resigning/keeping some of our more important pieces.

You know, like spending that money on Gibril Wilson, Ernest Wilford, Jake Grove, Marc Colombo, and attempting to pay Kyle Orton 27 million dollars. Just some of the moves Ireland has made or attempted to.

Which makes the whole 'no one wants to play here' argument ridiculous. Soliai now maybe Bell are re-signing........shocking.
It's not ridiculous. This org definitely is running like an old broken car. To complicate things our front office doesn't look at players they should/could, botch negotiations and get left looking like idiots. Part of an NFL team is being able to communicate with the public and they are not good there either. These guys repeatedly are on the wrong end of the story. gotta face the music. The dolphins got some issues.
