Q: What do you think of the Dolphins taking Joe Flacco in the second round? I love what I've seen from the kid, but I haven't heard anything about the Dolphins being interested in him (which I guess could be a good thing if they want to hide their interest).

A: I'm actually not expecting the Dolphins to draft a quarterback on the first day of this year's draft. I just think this team has too many other needs. Plus, Flacco, in my opinion, doesn't come close to comparing with John Beck's potential. If Beck were in this draft, I think we'd be talking about him in the same breath as Matt Ryan.

Let the hating begin :sidelol:

Jeff Darlington is answering questions from his blog Q&A.

we could draft a QB in the 2nd round but it'd have to be someone that the big 3 are crazy about and it falls to them.....with the top 3 picks we should go o-line,OLB/DE and Corner or WR depending on who's there....in round 3 maybe TE plus we need a guard somewhere....QB could be someone in the 6 or 7 round.

Ozzy rules!!

Say no to defense until round 4, unless we draft Chris Long at #1. We need two OL and a TE at least out of our first four picks.

I agree with Matt. The defense was bad, but the offense was unwatchable. OL, TE, WR, and even another running back just in case something happens to Ronnie would help.

I think if we really like a QB we should grab him

each and every year

its like the Meuller doctrine or something

if we really, really like Beck then Day 2 makes more sense for a QB

Damn Darlington is an idiot lol. This isnt even about Beck versus Ryan but a qb taken after Kevin friggin Kolb would be a high first round pick in this year's draft. That shows that Darlington really doesn't know jack on this subject.
Funniest response ever for a person that gets paid to write stuff. Beck would still be in about the same place he was last year with behind Ryan and Brohm and in the mix with Flacco and Henne. It aint hating its friggin common sense.

I am just guessing here but perhaps Darlington's comments about Beck are based on how he has watched Beck work in the off season.
