Interesting little note re: Redskins/Broncos..

As a provision in the trade that landed the Redskins T.J. Duckett before the season they gave the Denver Broncos the option of flip-flopping 1st round picks (depending on how far apart they are). In the end Washington could end up dropping considerably in the first round in exchange for a third string running back.

If the season ended today, Washington would own the 5th overall pick in the draft..


We all know the 'Skins really don't value the draft, but boy could they going scammed in this one.

That -- and can you imagine what a FORCE the Broncos can be based on that draft pick! It makes me kinda sick to think about.
 
People here have a deep hatred for Vinny Cerrato, the Skins GM, and this is one of the reasons why.

washington also traded their 2007 2nd rd pick to the Jets, which could be a top 5. :hump:
 
What? When did the Broncos trade TJ Duckett to the Redskins?? Wasnt he traded from the Falcons to the Skins?

It was a triangular-trade that involved the Broncos trading Ashley Lelie to Atlanta, the Falcons trading TJ Duckett to the Redskins, and the Redskins trading a 2007 draft pick.
 
What does it matter to Washington they go and sign every free agent to 6 year 40 million dollar deals anyway. I have an idea how about we trade Marcus Vick to Washington for a second round pick I think they will do it.

Adrian Peterson is a suspect pick. After his injury, I've heard the experts referring to a Willis Mcgahee type freefall (personally I thought he was a 2nd-3rd prospect before the injury) in the draft for Peterson. Also you have to question Adrian Peterson's ESPN mandated elite status. I know he looked great as a freshman, but that was with a great supporting cast around him. In the last two years he has been far less impressive and durability issues have been a major concern. Even without Peterson this season, Oklahoma is winning games and running the ball with comparable ease. Unless Peterson comes back and proves he's a true top back by having a great senior season and that he is capable of carrying the load, I think he'll be largely avoided on draft day.
 
I was simply speculating on a player they could take that would make them ridiculous. We don't have to do little mock drafts in every thread.

Are you kidding me. Who are these so called experts? Willis McGahee tore his ACL. Adrian Peterson broke his collerbone. It will not affect his draft stock. I am a Longhorns fan and I hate Adrian Peterson, but I still know he will go in the top 5. Although he hasn't put up the Heisman numbers he is still exactly what the NFL looks for in a runningback. He has good vision is a powerful runningback and he has the ability to take it all the way anytime he touches the ball. He is a lock in the top 5 and WILL NOT fall like Willis McGahee.

Hey, don't argue with me, argue with the experts (although many believe the two are synonymous). NFL teams don't pick players because some guy thinks a guy is good because a RB housed a few balls against Texas' swiss cheese defense in a losing effort. I don't like your tone either, btw.
