3 Joe Flacco QB Deleware
4 Harry Douglas WR Louisville
6 Donald Thomas OG UCONN
7 Adrian Arrington WR Michigan

Does it have us trading down to select Ellis or something? If were drafting him at #1 then that's a horrible selection. If we're going to take a DT then it will probably be Dorsey.

I thought Ellis looked like a full-grown man at the Senior Bowl workouts. Some say he's not worth the #1 pick, but he looked good to me. I liked his competitive streak, he didn't have to play in that game.

CHerilus will be long gone, Ellis is a reach ( at this point, he's putting him up there only because he's the flavor of the month due to his senior bowl, but chris long is the guy really) ... and Joe Flacco, well, i dunno... he has a lot of raw potential that needs to be rafined, especially the mental part of the game... he's an interesting prospect/project, those guys are usually drafted later (I'd put a 4th on him) ... Reggie smith is not the pick if the draft turns out that way. Aqib Talib and Tracy Porter are both available and should be chosen before Smith... I like the 3 late rounders, but I would've put a TE in there instead of 2 WRs. So basically

1-ellis : reach and hyped up these days
2-smith : reach and better players at same position available
2b- cherilus : will be gone
3- flacco: reach (IMO, some say he's a very good prospect and it very well may be the case )
4- douglas: don't know much about him, but we surely do need WRs
6- thomas: Liwienski, lekerkerkekrekr won't cut it at guard, carey, hadnot, satele, shelton(or FA) and the other position battled out between mormino and thomas will be good for us
7- arrington: i don't know but this sounds like a huge steal... i don't think he'll be available... but at 6'3 195, he's very attractive

Well I guess there is no reason for any more mocks since you have the whole draft figured out.
Thank you Mel Kiper Jr.

LOL you're welcome !

seriously, you have the right to disagree on some of my thoughts, like the WRs and Joe Flacco, But if you believe ellis is the #1 choice and gosder cherilus will be available at 56, you're dead wrong. Those are two flagrant cases of over/under ratings. There are others but they are not as undisputable as those 2

Sell.

Boy that would be an amazing flub of the first pick. Take a guy that isn't even the best player available at his position.

1 Sedrick Ellis DT USC--The Johnny come lately Trendy pick...wont happen and not a good fit for 3-4..not at all
2 Reggie Smith CB Oklahoma--No no and NO. Much better talent still on the board at 32. Played Safety in college, which he is too small to do in the pro's. not sure about him lining up at CB either..
2 Godser Cherilus OT BC-- at 2a I would jump on it..he wont even be there at the 32 pick (BTW: Spelled Gosder )
3 Joe Flacco QB Deleware---See 2a
4 Harry Douglas WR Louisville---See 2a and 3
6 Donald Thomas OG UCONN---Nice pick. Love it
7 Adrian Arrington WR Michigan----Wont make it past round 4..maybe early round 5 but probably not that

Of course this is just my opinions though :err:

You're rediculous Ellis IS a 3-4 Tackle and IMO worth the #1 pick.....if we hold onto it which god willing I hope we don't as far as the rest of the mock I don't agree too much but if Douglas is available in the 4th that would be a great selection. Some say Ellis is the trendy pick and maybe he is but I'v watched the kid the last few years and he hasn't gotten publicity simply because he plays for USC. It's easy to get lost in the mix when you occupy the line as well as he does and the linebackers take all the credit when they make the tackles. He might not be worth the overall #1 but he should be the Dolphins #1.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Ellis is a terrific player. But Dorsey is a FAR superior prospect. What you are seeing is the tendency to fixate on the most recent performance. Ellis is really the Johnny come lately pick. Picking him over Dorsey would be a collosal mistake if we go DT and probably be an albatross around our neck for years to come.

Incidentally why does everyone think Ellis can plat NT? He is smaller than Dorsey!

He weighs 285!

Agreed 100%... proof how he's just a flavor of the week ... for months he had Ellis going no earlier than 9... but after one week all of a sudden Ellis is the #1 prospect in the draft?

it amazes me how one game can shoot one guy above another, even though Dorsey has been soo dominate his entire College career.

Ellis will be a beast in the NFL but as of right now Dorsey is still the better prospect and he's proved it.
