Heard rumours earlier about trading for this guy, I myself kinda like the way the fins went with the draft and undrafted free agents.

The alternative is the Jets trading Kendall, who wants a new contract. Kendall doesn't appear likely to be a member of the Gang Green in 2007.

Miami will get him they wanted for trade before but the Jets were waiting on Joe Andruzzie now Jets will release him nad he'll be playing for fins this season.
 
thats good to know hes a starter and will help are o-line get better fast
 
Kendall would be an upgrade over Liweinski, but if we get Kendall, Liweinski is gone. I personally think if he is a FA and wants to come to Miami he could really help us and give us an insight on how to attack the Jets line. He will also be an upgrade over Liweinski, but remember if he comes Liweinski is gone.

One last thing Kendall is looking for big money and if Mueller does not think he deserves it he will not get it, so he might want to sign else where. I personally would not want to give an aging guy big money. I would preferably lock up Hadnot and Bell long-term....
 
He' s is a little old to give guarantied money to. I wounder if he would take a performanced based contract? Would love to have him though. He could help the progression of our line tremendesly. He would be a solid veteran.

Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Jets OG Pete Kendall did not attend the first day of the Jets' organized team activities Thursday, May 31.

Defitnetly improves the chances of him getting cut. Like I said before if Kendall comes in you can forget Liweinski starting. I welcome him as long as he gets a contract that is not worth big bucks. We need to lock up Hadnot and Bell.

Since tomorrow is June 1st, think he will get cut then, or did they move the cut day back???
 
One of the reasons he chose the Jets over other teams in '04 was th proximiy to his NE home. he had more lurative offers from other teams and chose the Jets as he can drive home on off days. I still exect him to be here and if not I would expect he'd want to stay as close to the NE as possible.
 
Andruzzi wont be playing, he was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. It was on rotoworld.

We don't need another guard, especially an old and washed up one from the Jesters. Cam and Mueller are looking to get younger and faster players, not older and slower ones.

He's pretty good. I dont think he would have a problem starting on our line
 
People keep saying the age, but he wouldn't be brought in to be a future stud on this line . . . it would be a stop gap until the youngsters get more reps and experience . . . this team is NOT rebuilding . . . the retooling word that was used earlier this year is a perfect choice of words. How can u rebuild and u have a pro bowl defense and just upgraded the weakest position on your front seven with one the elite players available in free agency @ that position . . . and one of the elite players the last 7 years @ that position . . . not to mention a leader in the lockeroom. That isn't rebuilding . . . people may not want to admit it . . . but if the Houck/Cam combo can get this Line up to par and we get lucky @ QB this season w/ whoever . . . this is a playoff team. We have upgraded our return game to elite status now, Our defense is as solid as ever (yea there isn't a Surtain or Madison back there . . . but its not needed with that front seven . . . we got quality guys back there who have a year in the system together.), we just need some luck on offense . . . and I think we did that immediately when we signed Cam Cameron as our head coach.

MAYBE THE BEST POST I'VE SEEN HERE IN A LONG TIME............

We are fine all across the board. Not GREAT but just fine. All we need is a little lady luck and WE WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. I strongly believe that Houck is getting the guys that HE needs to run the offense. Remember last year he was trying to get guys together to run Malarkeys BS offense. with Cam he can coach what he knows and get the guys that he feel is needed to get the job done. The Defense is about as best at it gets. Yeah we maynot have the "shut down" corner but how many teams do? We have the best front 7 that your could ever put on a field together and a master calling the blitzes from up top. all we need is a little production on offense and look out. And for the record the media can say what they want about our draft but the best thing we did this off season was ink Cam Cameron.
