There is all this excitement about Gruden's Bucs blah blah blah and his new offense and some Dolphins fans on this board are worried about the Dolphins OL.

Well Gruden's passing attack threw for 63 yards and the Bucs OL allowed 7 sacks.

The Dolphins new passing attack threw for 235 yards and the Dolphins OL allowed no sacks.

Hmmmmm!

I made this post for all the yahoos walking around with soaked panties over last nights game.

If it wasn't for the kick-off return to open the game we would have won, obviuosly, but we also lost a fumble on the 1 and Mare missed a chip shot, there's 10 more points that got away. The more I hear about how vanilla last night's game plan(or lack there of)was, the more I like what I saw last night.

We also gave up a boat load of rushing yards. They didn't NEED to pass it.

Well **** they sure did try to..I hate these ****ing half step as dolphins fan.

Calling me a half step Dolphin fan? LMAO...that is a first

Calling the moderator of the biggest Phins homer site on the net a half step. lol.

yeah the only thng i am worried about now is LT, and how Timbo and chester looked like 3rd stringers last night. but lets keep it real. timbo doesnt waant to get hurt over some stupid game and chester just wants to get past his pain. i say rest them, and lets see more henry taylor, ogun and some other dt's we got. also rob burnett at DT on passing downs.

You don't have to pass for much when you run for 182,,we only had 70...Running eats up a lot more of the clock and allows you to control the ball as we witness in the 4th qtr...when the Bucs ate up over 7 mins..not given us much chance to come back..This is important..Remember Norv's O is get a lead then run and hold..We must be able to run to control the clock at the end like Tampa did. In the end the run won the game for them...We should know this by now after all the years with Dan M. A lot of games were lost because we couldn't run in the end and run the clock..ended up throwing and a drop here, a sack there..and presto we punted without using a lot of time and teams came back and wonl

Careful MD, pointing out truths will get you called a half step Dolphin fan by 305.

don't take it too personal, everyday someone gets called something bad on these boards. Just do what I do, let a tear roll out the corner of your eye, than hold your head up proudly. Then pop in a porno and lock the doors and close the windows.

LMAO, good one Bobby Humphrey. Now I am going to just try and point out the truth here. Actually, I didn't watch any of the 2nd half, just the first half. BUT, you can't count Mare's miss as much, Gramatica, arguably the best kicker in the game (next to Mare of course, and maybe Vanderjagt) missed a really short chip shot too (I think it was around 30 yards as well, like 32). So Mare's miss means nothing, it's just pre-season.

My observations from the game:
We really need a backup halfback. Robert Edwards hasn't shown diddly squat. Travis Minor is fumbling again (he's always had fumble issues hasn't he?). And from what I heard, Henry looked awful.

I'm not too worried about the d-line YET. But if it doesn't get better by pre-season game #3 (the one where the starters usually play all of the first half, sometimes the 3rd quarter as well) then we will have some issues. Our DTs both were playing hurt I guess (can someone tell me WHY? It's only pre-season).

The o-line I am worried about. And I always have been. I think Searcy is fine at RG but Wade has never been the same since he was hurt last year and it is starting to scare me. Ruddy isn't the pro-bowler he was 2-3 years ago. Brent Smith sucks, Marcus Spriggs sucks, and anyone else we put over at LT sucks, someone step up and help us. LG seems to be ok with Dixon playing sometimes and Nails really playing good. The guards are good but the rest of the line is awful and we need to fix it.

Yeah and when we play the Texans the third pre-season game, and simply dominate the Texans you are going to say "Well that prove's **** because they on played the Texans" !!!

No sacks for a o line that sucks / what ? you guys are a trip please give me a break this is practice boys ..not the real thing and we all know thats a big differance. Im willing to be alot more patient than most ... but I am really preturbed by the amount of "fans " that are hyper critical of the FIRST PRE SEASON GAME!..I found plenty to like about how we did in this game and i could tell that grudens boys were playing thier little hearts out for him ... we just wanted to get out healthy and look ayt the rookies and bubble guys .. same for next week ..so please let this game go .. Its ridiculous to be so critical at this point in the season .

I appreciate your objectivity, breckenridge55. We all know the teams we like need to fix things at this time of year. That's not necessarily doom and gloom. I freely admit the Bills run blocking sucked in their first preseason game, along with their run defense, their second and third string secondary, etc. I didn't see the game or I might have more criticisms of the Bills. We hope the team will fix what's wrong, but they certainly do need fixing.
