"The Dolphins are on pace to score their most points since Dan Marino’s fourth season."

Let that sink in for a minute.

The year was 1987. That means that, if we keep our current pace, we would score more points than each of Marino's final 13 seasons.

Also, we're also on pace to score 100 points more than last season.

Enjoy it boys (and girls), it's a great time to be a Dolphins fan.

I mean, to be honest, that's more because of today's NFL more than anything else. I mean, Fitzpatrick threw for 6 TDs yesterday.

While true, it is still encouraging that we have a team that now can play like modern offenses do... We've been stuck at 16 points a game in a 36 points a game league for way too long.

Underhill...wait that is LOTR...

Fair enough. So, lets examine the end of my post. 100 more points (or roughly 6.5 ppg) more than last year. That's progress!

Do you know what's crazy, as much as I can't stand Philbin, I would almost keep him on for next year.

Yea, he's the unsexy guy. He's the anti-lockerroon "insert epic battle speech" guy. He's the most boring guy in the history of football.

But this team has steadily improved. No massive 4 week collapse. Our players are being coached up. In game adjustments are happening. Tannehill is improving.

It may not be worth blowing it all up and starting over again while we're on the cusp of good things.

Amen to that! It's been nice to see an offense for once!

As long as there isn't a massive December collapse ahead, I would tend to agree. I still have my doubts that he will ever be a great gameday coach, I have to give him some credit for building a foundation and system that is at least entertaining to watch week to week.

Yeah you're about to get barraged with post after post about how you only care about mediocrity and moral victories......

I for one see this offense crossing over into being dangerous, just like the rest of the league is starting to do. Thanks for the post!
