intersting check this out!!!!!

  Sorry, but this article seems like a "dramatic love triangle novel"-sort-of-story with a coach TORN between his two quarterbacks! And one will have to go soon! Oh the Drama!!!

I go the impression from the article that Rivers moving...

was more likely. Drew is turning into the second coming of Kurt Warner and the chances of the Chargers letting him go must be small. On the other hand, Rivers appear to have a period of development yet ahead before he can be anybody's starter, if traded next season he still may be unready for the starter's role.

Nonetheless, chances are we'll be in the market for a bonafide QB next season, draft/FA or trade.

i'd say the chances are sky high..

personally, i'd very very much like to have Rivers.. and, as the post offered a few days ago, would be happy to give up our No. 1 pick next year for him... anyone ever taken a good look at his release and poise and number? ... seems eerily familiar to someone else i used to watch on sundays... can't remember his name...

Ive always felt giving up a #1 pick for anyone is a risky move, but i wouldn't be upset if it were for the rivers kid!! after all, if he were coming out next years draft, he would go #1 or 2 anyway, so why not take a shot.

It seems to me that if Brees has a decent season then Rivers will be available for trade

I think the more likely scenario, if we were to acquire any current SD QB, it would be Rivers. San Diego gave the guy a huge $, long term contract and with a franchise QB in Brees, the expenditure makes no sense.

LMFAO you have got to be kidding! ... the season hasnt started and people are talking about QB's who MIGHT be delt next year? And how anyone here could tell if Rivers is any better than anyone we have is beyond me....The guy hasnt played a meaningfull down in this league yet! And then to make comparisons to marino? What a bunch of crap. Sorry but this thread should be called dreamers and wishers... maybe we should wait till AFTER this season is over with!!I am more impressed by brock and sages performances this year than rivers. And I dont think that anybody but certain people on this board would give up a first rounder for rivers who has not played a down in the regular season, that would just be stupid .... kinda like giving up a 3rd rounder for AJ who actually had started reg season games and won.Dream on fin brothern.

I agree with you, but I think it would take more than just one pick to get him.

Suppose they asked for Brown and the 2006 pick ?? Look what they would have gotten out of their #1 overall last year...wow...some have all the luck.

Then by your logic it must be stupid to ever draft a QB in round one?

Rivers was a high first rounder and has done nothing to diminish that status, he simply came in behind a guy who put up Pro Bowl numbers.

By your reasoning we would have never drafted Marino, because according to you he had never played a meaningful down before we drafted him.

And by the way, if your more impressed with Brock Berlin and Sage Rosenfels than you are Phillip Rivers in regards to who has more potential as a starting QB in this league..........you need to watch a lot more gamefilm.
