Ireland addresses Jason Taylor

"We mentioned acors and [Taylor] is one sitting there on the ground right now," Ireland said. "We have to make a decision whether we're going to do that right now or not."

The timing is important. Taylor's camp expects to have a contract in place by this week sometime. Talks are expected to begin as early as Monday.

Great pick up if it goes through. We'll have a great OLB rotation going with Roth, Talyor, Wake, and Peezy on top of a great leader and knowledgable HOF talent. Nothing negative can come of this.

Unless they are convinced that Wake is the real deal, the only possible explanation I see for not drafting OLB help was they are hoping to bring him back.

I normally would agree with you Nublar, but, I think with Cameron and the UDFA from Purdue, it's possible they could sign Jason to a 2 year deal. It lets him play another season at the most, retire a dolphin, and him to prove he can still play at least another year while Wake and the Purdue kid learn behind him and get ready to play next season. But if we all had all the answers, we'd be doing something other than posting here, lol, so, we'll just have to watch and see together.
