It's gonna start with Philbin. That was Ireland's coach, not Ross's HUGE big name splash. Also 90 percent of the football world is thinking WTF!. Im not one of them, it look's like Jeff is signing hungry player's that want to win instead of expensive baby's that bitch if they dont get what they want. I say Jeff keep doing what your doing your the GM.

Agreed, another thing that will make him look like a genius is when Flynn fails in Seattle and Smith fails in SF; problem is Fins fans will find a new reason to be pissed at him; or if not him they'll start throwing Philbin under the bus. When you become a hater its hard to flip the switch and admit your wrong. These are the same *******s who pined for Orton for crying out loud lol

I wish some of you guys would change your avatars.

???

The story was that McCoy was Ireland's choice, remember?

Ross wanted Philbin. Actually the story at the time was that Ireland AND Peterson wanted McCoy but Ross that Rebel, bad-arse picked Philbin anyway. :chuckle:

Philbin, Pouncey, Long etc. doesn't matter if he does not fix the QB position. He has clearly failed there for 4 years. Because Ross believes in him he has another opportunity. Bottom line his success will depend directly on whether Matt Moore develops into a long term solution and/or he drafts a QB this year that shows promise. Collaterally whether Matt Flynn does well or not will add to his success/failure. In other words, if Matt Moore is average or worse and there is no rookie in place that is promising THIS YEAR he should be gone.

Aren't you guys able to think about anything but today. You act like people are making decisions strictly on todays QB issue...todays lackluster Free agency ...

people are upset for a variety of issuses starting years ago....

Can you all try to understand that.......please

And not signing Flynn or Smith or even some want Tebow is not a decision you have to be a rocket scientist to make, for the odds are heavily against these guys turning into a top 10 QB........

One of the few things he's done right this off season is hire Philbin. But I worry that Philbin may be able to cover his ineptitude in the draft and we'll be stuck with him while never really improving the team personnel wise.

You can always count on a Debbie Downer ruining an optimistic post around here.

Jill Ireland is a joke and he is the black eye of the organization... As long as he is here, we will not have a winning team, nor will we be envied by any of the other teams....

I know the truth hurts you ........

Hey Dreaded....." The Plane !, The Plane !

Your flight has arrived to fantasy island were you can live in your own dream....and Ireland is an ace GM making all the right moves and the Dolphins are on their second perfect season....no their 3rd perfect season......

Datruth, Ross picked Philbin buddy not Ireland.

Here are a few of the players that Ireland brought in since you don't seem to know -

Davone Bess - undrafted free agent

Cameron Wake - CFL no other NFL team wanted him since he got cut by the Giants

Reggie Bush - No other NFL team thought he was worth it as a pure runningback

Moore at QB - he only managed to turn around our season despite the fact that the head coach got fired and that he was signed late and didn't get many snaps in TC & preseason.

One thing is for sure, Ireland knows more about the intricacies of being a GM, more about personnel, and more about football in general than 99% of the people who post here. Although it is our right as fans to complain as much as we like when we don't agree with his moves, we as dolfans need to ignore all the crap the morons at NFL network and espn say and just wait and see the results. I'm so sick of the media "experts".
